I watched it last night. It really wasn't very entertaining. But a sudden thought just occurred to me. The gay star of the show (the one who gets to pick) is really getting shortchanged.
They threw in a bunch of straights as what - a sort of social experiment? What happens when the time comes to kiss one of the guys - as inevitably happens on the other dating shows, eg. The Bachelor, The Bachelorette, etc.? A straight guy is not going to want to kiss a gay guy.
So what will happen - will the straight guy "out" himself as a straight? Then what - the whole premise of the show is blown as the guy realizes that there are straights mixed in? He will feel betrayed when he realizes that he was just being toyed with. He truly went on the program looking for love and Bravo made it harder for him to find it.
I wonder how many straights there are on the show. Maybe there aren't as many as we think. One of the rejectees last night was straight. Maybe he's the only one.
If there's more than that one straight (and even then), the gay guy is getting shortchanged. Odd, for a supposedly pro-gay show and pro-gay network.
