WASHINGTON (AP) --President Bush marked the 13th anniversary Saturday of the Americans With Disabilities Act with a name change for a committee and a push to promote equality for people suffering from mental illness.

Bush changed the name of the President's Committee on Mental Retardation to the President's Committee for People with Intellectual Disabilities the same week that a commission he created recommended a campaign to bring the mentally ill more into the mainstream.

The only thing fraudulent is your assertion that our form of self-governance is unconstitutional.

Are you that naive or plain arrogant? I keep telling you that was Bush's statement the day he approved federal funding, and not his campaign pledge. During the campaign, he has totally different stand on this issue. Please, if you do not understand the above, do not write me any further.

Bushbots have such nice things to say. I guess this is what Bush talked about elevating the tone in politics.

You're exactly right I should have not gone down to your level.

Thanks for the reminder.

I don't get it. Self-government or whatever you call it, has to comply to the Constitution. If not, then you have tyranny. ADA, and thousands of other govt agencies, are strictly unconstitutional. Just because you want it, doesn't mean you are entitled to it. That is why you need the Constitution.

A lot of these fringe 3rd party ideologue whiner types are probably DU disruptors, or else don't mind carrying water for them.

I'll be damned, I've searched and searched, but I can't seem to find your name on any post that I have made.. perhaps I am mistaken, shouldn't you be making your bed or something constructive, and minding your own business?

LOL! Last time I checked, it was a public forum "carlo" You posted to all of us.

And it wasn't much of a post either.

Do you respond with: "Go back to DU, you jerk" every time you don't agree with someone?

Let me guess, you didn't make the debate team, did you "carlo"?

Thanks for patronizing me

LOL! You are the one being patronizing. You post an article to start a fight.

Look I think that some some of things in the disabilities act are good, such as trying to get wheelcahir accessible walkways and others are very bad such as trying to make alcoholism and drug abuse a "disabilty" like the demos want to do.

To me and it is my opinion, Bush and the people in his administration are not for the crazy tangents the demos are trying to push, but they rightly are for the good things.

It is a tightrope to walk and that is called politics.

JMO, but you are more interested in cutting that tightrope being walked, to placate your own self aggrandizing politcal interests.

Okay, Sweetie Pie, I won't write you any further. But, in the meantime, I refer all interested parties to read post #45 which explains Pres. Bush's stand on stem cell research.

I care about American citizens. People who know me closely think I have a heart. Can I be the next President?

Yes, but only if you can convince a mojority of voters that you care and have a heart. From what I have read of your posts I will not be voting for you. If only right wing conservatives were allowed to vote, you would be a shoe in. Unfortunately for your presidential asperations, America is for all the people. I suspect you would need to overthrow our current government and kill many people to become the POTUS. By that point there would be little reason to call yourself "the President" over the more accurate "despotic dictator."

Maybe you should form crack team of Bush bots to hunt down all Bush hates. That way no one would ever dare object to the ways of the great leader.

Self-aggrandizing? I hope you know what it means. How could I be a self-aggrandizer when my agenda is more freedom for the masses? It is fine if you believe that people should not be free to make choices for themselves, but you should definitely not call me a self-aggrandizer. Keep the ad hominems coming.

What is it with these ghosts that are driving you to feel persecuted. I usually only post to just one jerk at a time, so you will have to wait your turn.. It's obvious though, I probably would have gotten around to you eventually.

Are you sad and lonely, looking for something to make your miserable life have some meaning, and even a negative response is better than no one paying any attention to you at all? Go somewhere you poor thing, and suck your thumb until the adult are finished!

I do know what self-aggrandizment means and so do you.

Self-aggrandizement is the reason you started the thread and with your replies on the thread.

BTW, are you going into martyr mode now?

Yes, I am going to self-destruct myself because Bushibans don't like me. I want to be popular so badly that I am willing to sacrifice my principles.

Just because you want it to be so, doesn't mean that it is. Where's your successful suit to challenge this law, or any one of those thousands of other govt agencies, upon constitutional grounds? Otherwise, your public decree of which laws are constitutional and which laws are not smacks of one single tyrannical voice among the 280,000,000 other little tyrants of a Me-ocracy.
