Beer Church; The Largest Unorganized Religion in the World!

Making the world a better place, one beer at a time.

For each and every one of you, your own appreciation of beer is something deeply personal. The appreciation of Beer is also something that is universal. Beer Church is about the relationship of the two; your personal affection for beer, and humanity's overwhelming love of Beer. Beer Church is a celebration of Beer (with a capital "B"). Beer Church represents the "something larger than yourself" to which you belong by virtue of your very personal love for beer. Beer Church is about the one thing that we all have in common, regardless of all of our other differences. Something we all believe in. Beer.

Any gender, any sexual preference, any nationality, any shoe size or hair style; beer drinkers of the world are all part of something much larger than themselves. They are part of a loosely connected, diverse social group of countless individuals all around the world, with at least one thing in common. Beer. And sure, someone might be able to say the same thing about cheese, or coffee, or many other things, but we didn't. We said it about beer. And because you know the difference, you are one of us. You are Beer Church.

At last count, Beer Church has over 40,000 registered members from 26 different countries around the world.

Just imagine what we can do! The Beer Church Mission Statement

Charity - We intend to expose Beer enthusiasts to, and organize them for the benefit of, various charitable, civic and compassionate causes, offering our members the opportunity to contribute collectively or individually. Although we are primarily a local organization in the Seattle, WA area, we attract the attention of beer enthusiasts around the world with our Web site. We intend to provide an example of the good things that can be done. We believe that beer's worldwide popularity can and should be used to band people together for the benefit of society as a whole.

Civic Responsibility - We believe in promoting responsible fun. Beer should be part of a recipe for positive social activity, but is too often used as part of a recipe for disaster. We urge everyone to be personally responsible all of the time. Anything else is disrespectful of yourself and your community.

The Web site - It is the goal of Beer Church to provide a fun, informative and useful Web site for persons all around the globe who are interested in and passionate about beer. The Web site is an evolving expression of our membership's needs and wishes. All suggestions will be welcomed and sincerely considered so that we may better serve the Beer enthusiasts of the world.

Hey, me too for the Rolling Rock.

Of course, being an Episcopalian, the Rolling Rock church is a much better alternative these days. ;>))

Wow. Old Alfred E. Newman?

The things that stick with you.

The only other poem I can remember is;

I wandered, lonely as a clod,
Just picking up old rags and bottles,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host of golden axolotls.
Beside the lake, beneath the trees,
Fluttering and playing in the breeze.

Some had handles, some were plain;
They came in blue, red, pink and green.
Some were orange in the main,
The damndest sight I've ever seen.

Now oft, when on the couch I lie,
The doctor asks me what I see;
They flash upon my inward eye,
And make me laugh with fiendish glee!

I find my solace now in bottles,
And I forget them axolotls.

That has to be a Newman too.

We may have some splits on the congregation - the Stouts vs. the Lagers, Lambics vs. Pilsners, etc.

Where do us devotees to Scottish Ale fit in?

1) It smells utterly dreadful and 2) it makes people act really stupid.

I can think of other things that fit that description but..... ... well, maybe I'll just leave it at that.

Ann Coulter, the right wing's dial-900 girl—a rail-thin, chain-smoking,hard-drinking, big-eyed leggy blonde who winkingly serves up X-rated ideological smut on liberals—is at it again.

OH MY GOSH!!!!!!I just knew we would find out where Ann goes to church!!!

I was gonna reply in the same way... but your way has more class than what I was gonna say... good job at saying what all men think in a way that all men can appreciate... Bravo!
