No one should discount "nice." Barbara Boxer is one of the most shrill people in American politics. She is uncivil and fanatical in her rhetoric. Even by California standards, she is an extremist, both in position and in tone.

When I have heard on the floor of the Senate, it is like someone scratching a blackboard with fingernails. Nice and Boxer don't seem to fit in the same sentence.
