To be fair there are explanations that might address the suppositions you are making regarding bruises. In the end all that will matter is whether or not a jury believes that all of Bryant's explanations are plausible. Personally, I don't yet have a feel for who to believe here. I am surprised at those who are willing to viciously attack one side or the other based on such sketchy evidence.
If we went on the basis of bruises I could have had my wife in jail years ago - never mind that she didn't cause any of them. The reverse is true also.
IF this young lady had impure motivations, it's certainly possible for her to have bruised herself.
I recall a story from a few years back where a woman here in Texas deliberately injured herself, including scratching racial slurs into her flesh, and then claimed she was raped.
Turns out she was lying.
