[history]
His money, fame and power place much of the focus on Bryant, not his accuser, whose life has been invaded.
Her privacy, which was nearly impossible to protect in a town of 3,000 residents and one main public high school, is gone.

The process of destroying this woman has begun and is in
high gear. Probably the best thing she could do at this
point is to withdraw the charges, change her name and location
and try to get on with her life. Whether this guy is guilty
as charged - who knows? There simply is no way that this
can turn out to be anything other than a disaster for her.

She is only an alleged victim until Kobe has been proved to have committed the alleged crime beyond reasonable doubt. Seeesh ! At least one judge has ruled that there is reasonable cause to believe her.

"I can't imagine anyone lying about this," said Dawn Foor, supervisor of Orange County's sexual-assault victim assistance services. Then lets hope you wake up in reality tommorow...it happens alot you idiot.

I wish someone would publish Bryant's address and phone number. See how HE likes it.

Let me see if I understand the jist of the article. First, People who file a rape charge should not be questioned as to either character or motive, and anyone who says anything good about a basketball player automatically has his/her motives questioned. Second, any sports figure charged with rape is probably guilty, so why bother with a trial. Third, If someone reports a rape they are likely telling the truth, so why bother with a trial.
Did I miss anything else...?

This story in the OC Register buries the fact that this accuser OD'd on pills two months before the time of the incident. Another story in the Register also appeared on the AP wire and ran in today's Tennessean which went into far more detail about the drug overdose. Apparently, the 911 call on that case and the original report are sealed and subject to a suit that seeks to produce them.
I'm surprised that the overdose story isn't posted and being discussed here.

"The process of destroying this woman has begun "
She is an adult and has made an adult charge on a public personage. She has no expectation of privacy. On the contrary, she has made great stides in destroying Bryant without consequence so far.
I would also say that when friends make comments like "she craves attention like no other" and she has reportedly overdosed because her boyfriend left and a friend died, she has serious problems. These are normal life events and overdosing, if it happened, is hardly a normal response.

I'm keeping an open mind until the evidence is presented.

So does rape. You're missing the point that this supervisor has lost all objectively on the subject and with it, all credibility.

So does rape. Ya think? that might be a good come back if I'd of said I can't believe rape happens but, I didn't so whats your point?
To: SouthernFreebird
Ya think? that might be a good come back if I'd of said I can't believe rape happens but, I didn't so whats your point? Just a few days we were all told that Kobe was an outstanding, loving, family man that takes his meals alone in his hotel room. Now we know why.

"Her name - first, middle and last - is on the Internet. So is her home address, her e-mail address, her phone number, her family's property records and two color photographs of her with her high school dance team and at the prom."
Funny, I haven't heard a peep about any of this.
To: Wright is right!
This story in the OC Register buries the fact that Kobe has a long history of emotional and family problems; a loner with few friends.
Allison Samuels, long time acquaintance and Newsweek correspondent says she can understand how a man with these problems could snap and rape someone.
