He has courage to stand up to his own country in order to do the right thing. Blair is one step from committing political suicide at home but sometimes its better to be right than popular. Even if this eventually costs him is career, I think history will exonerate him and he knows it.
Hats off to Tony. I dislike his politics but he has more hart and pride than any Dem weve got in congress or the senate.

It's like sipping Listerine after champagne. Great line, but not quite, since Listerine actually has some beneficial effects. Estrich has all of the appeal associated with sipping cat whizz.

he said that history and destiny has put America in this place and time!!! He brought the house down with that remark. That was the longest standing ovation of the entire speech.

Blair reminds me more and more of Churchill everyday. History will prove him correct. The Brits have no idea what kind of a great leader they have.

>>>> Listened to the last half of the speech and it was great except for the Kyoto part, ...
I don't think he was advocating Kyoto at all.
There's nothing wrong with talking about reasonable care for the environment. Notice how he poked fun at people who want to increase gasoline taxes on Americans (likening them to prohibitionists of the last 19th century) and called for technologies to reduce emissions.
Just because 9 out of 10 environmentalists are leftists nuts doesn't mean that we don't have a problem with pollution and an overdependence on foreign oil. Maybe drilling at home while we pursue alternative energies can help.

Well Snow said that Blair just told George not to go wobbly on the war on terrorism. I think he just meant that Blair's whole speech was a pep talk for Bush, and the "wobbly" quote is a reference to something Thatcher said to Bush 41 once.

The worst mixing up of "facts" was this very morning on Fox, Martin Frost claimed that Wilson went to Niger and (get ready for this pile of b.s.) came back with a report that the documents were forged! David Asman didn't correct him.Saw that too. Wanted to crawl into the screen and shake them. This bears repeating so others know that FOX is turning toward the likes of CNN. Heard the same BS a few other times this AM.

Give Fox a car chase and they get breathless!

Thank You Mr Prime Minister!!! You are truely a man of Honor!
We the American People love you as our own and if your Country does not want you we welcome you with open arms to stay in our Great Nation!
I really don't think the Brits realize what a great Leader they have. He may usually be to the left, but I would love to see him change partys.

He is receiving the Gold medal from congress and the Ellis Island Medal of Honor from a society of the same name..The Congressional Medal of Honor is for a man's actions in battle. I wish someone would tell that to Tony Snow.
