My dad, Bill Bellman, has been a baseball fan for as long as he can remember. He played as a kid on throughout his time in the Army, and coached Rob and I when we played softball and baseball. Even today, a heart attack hasnt stopped him from running and keeping in shape, occasionally getting out on the diamond to risk injury to those seasoned knees and ankles.
Last month, Dad asked Sebastian and I to put together a little video of his swing so that he could enter a nation-wide contest in which the winners will be selected to step up to the plate and face Nolan Ryan. Sebastian did a great job and, long story short, Dads video entry made it to the Top 10.
The 5 winners selected from online voting this week will be part of a Round Rock Express game in August, with Nolan Ryan pitching to each of these Real Deal fans. My dad is thrilled beyond belief to have gotten this close to batting off one of baseballs greatest pitchers.
PLEASE take two seconds and click on the below link (or paste into your browser bar) and vote for my Dad! Hes Bill B., second down on the list. And please feel free to pass this along to any other willing participants. ;-)

Sorry, I am unwilling to help you cheat. If I did have the interest to go to this location and review the swings, I would select the person with the best swing regardless of their identity.
You signed up yesterday. What's to say you didn't sign up with only this in mind, and have no interest whatever in conservative politics.

Freeped and bumped!! Good Luck!

I actually didn't want to post it, but a fellow republican talked me into it. I also found that another contestant is doing the same thing from California. No worries, do what you gotta do.

Does it say anywhere in the rules that you can't ask people to go vote for your dad?..........I thought not..........that means it ain't cheating.
I'll go vote for him because he raised a kid who'll go to bat for him.

I guess all these requests to go vote in online polls is stuffing the ballot box and needs to be stopped also. Sometimes the unexpected curmudgeonism around here amazes me.

No - on line polls are not accurate. They are just there to interest and engage computer users.

I thought I could post it again. This is a first for me. I usually just read the threads and postings. Guess this is why I didn't want to post anything in the first place.

No problem. I think back on Jeb Bush standing on a stage asking and encouraging people to go vote for his brother and giving reasons for them to do so. Somehow I didn't think of that as trying to stuff the ballot box.

Stuffing the ballot box might have been an unfortunate choice of words. However, I see no rules for the contest that say you can't ask people to vote for somebody. This is not cheating.
