Q One question for you both. Do you believe that there is a link between Saddam Hussein, a direct link, and the men who attacked on September the 11th?
THE PRESIDENT: I can't make that claim.

Interesting. I'm neither, but I'm curious as to why you think so? Seriously. You do use their talking points, then again maybe you are a Paleocon....

Or a long island iced tea... I used to go to the place on LI where they first became popular near where I grew up, the Oak Beach Inn. Really cool place on the South Bay.
Back then if I drank 2 I was shot, now I can drink 4 or 5 and not even feel it. I'm wondering if I should be concerned about this.

Ok, so you're agreeing that it has been the official policy of the USA to exact regime change in Iraq? You admit this but then when we follow through on official US policy, you're being lied to?
Do not answer my post without saying who lied to you and showing the proof. Do not add smiley faces to your post while you try to skate out of answering these questions.
I want to know specifically, who lied to you in the current admin, what was the lie and what is your proof?
To: AAABEST
LOL. I don't think so. You're probably not an out of control drinker...you just have experience! :)
I haven't had a thing in several weeks...odd. Normally I'd have a couple on the weekend. Just hasn't crossed my mind recently. I knew there was something I'd been forgetting to do! :)

How can the statement "I can't make that claim" be lying to you?
Are you saying the President had proof that Hussein was directly involved in 9/11?
If so what proof do you have that the President knew of a direct link?

Hey, feel free to run ip checks or whatever. I'm really not a retread (I assume you mean a previous troll or the like).
And, believe it or not, I'm here to spark discussion, not flames. :)
While I couldn't find the White House transcript posted as its own thread (back in January 2003, this is an old topic), I did find this live discussion which linked the White House transcript when it came up.
Bush-Blair News Conference Live Thread (post #401).
If there had been a previous thread, we could have locked this one as a duplicate post.

JUDGE FINDS OSAMA-SADDAM LINK
July 12, 2003 -- WASHINGTON - A federal judge helping to rebuild Iraq's judicial system says he's come up with an intriguing document linking Saddam Hussein to Osama bin Laden. Federal appellate Judge Gilbert Merritt, who is currently in Iraq, said an Iraqi lawyer brought him documents that included the name of an Iraqi officer in that country's embassy in Pakistan who was described as "responsible for the coordination of activities with the Osama bin Laden group."
"It seems to me to be strong proof that the two were in contact and conspiring to perform terrorist acts," Merritt, a Democrat and longtime family friend of Al Gore, wrote in a dispatch for The Tennesseean newspaper - charges similar to those previously reported by The Weekly Standard.

Awww, come on now - I've seen easily as many allegations as to my own idealogy/ancestry/origin/political slant here, and I'm not demanding people prove their conclusions. ;)
By the way, my mom slept with an airman, not a milkman, for those who are interested (seems a few were, abnormally so).

Go ahead and reply to post 79.
And someone else on here regularly refers to President Bush as "bush", and claims he lies, etc.
Why not share your other screen name?

I do indeed read the Guardian. Quite good.
I am less knowledgeable about the other sources, as I have not been impressed with their rate of accuracy in the past and thus do not read them. I will, however, give them a second look.

What is the significance of a 7 month old article when there are so many fascist to slay on any thread on du...
Speaking of the loon site. I went over there to see if I could find a similiar link like the one posted here. I didn't get far because I ran across a discussion on Howard Dean. This post craked me up from a guy who said he shook Dean's hand:
Ya'll might want to watch the DeanTV website for the Dallas event. look for a bald guy in a Dean t-shirt and a black kilt and a long-haired guy in a tie-dyed shirt (my brother and I, respectively) crying. One of Dean's Camrra people saw us weeping over the speech and held the camera on us for quite some time.

Maybe it's time we drop this left-wing/right-wing label business and stick to finding out the truth?Yes it would be great if you found the truth. I believe that you should realize by now that we use fact/logic to counter your "feelings". BTW, are you so bored that you need to post bs here?

Paleocon! I've never heard that before, but it's a good one.
I don't use talking points. I just speak what's on my mind. No guidebook in my hands, so to speak.
