If people actually bothered to read what Jim Robinson actually thinks / believes, a lot of these misunderstanding and problems would be abated; however, it's too easy to just build Jim into yet another boogy-man. Jim built an incredible forum for discussion and allows an amazing latitude of dissent despite the number of people have been kicked off becuase they cannot keep within Jim's wide definition of "good behavior".

We are all playing in Jim's sandbox. He could shut the whole thing down tomorrow if he wanted and we have to remember that. We are not entitled to ANYTHING at Free Republic. If we start thinking that this is an entitltement, then we are intellectually no better than the denizens at DU.

Great rant. I feel that Mr Robinson is too lenient in some cases. This is his site and he allows anyone to use it (free) as long as they obey the rules, which are very reasonable.

I feel sorry for those mentally challanged disruptors that have to whine about rules. They are so unhappy.
