A pro-family reporter says homosexuals in San Francisco were "jubilant ... and some naked" -- late last month as they celebrated "Gay Pride Day" just two days after the Supreme Court reversed Texas' decades-old sodomy statutes.
According to the San Francisco Chronicle, nearly three-quarters of a million people attended the event on June 29. Those in attendance included Allyson Smith and Peter LaBarbera of Concerned Women for America (CWA), a Christian, pro-family advocacy group based in Washington, D.C.
Smith and LaBarbera note that more than anything, the celebration demonstrated the power of San Francisco's homosexual community in the Northern California city. Officials in the parade included, among others, Mayor Willie Brown, California Secretary of State Kevin Shelley, homosexual Assemblyman Mark Leno, State Senator Jackie Speier, San Francisco District and City Attorneys Terence Hallinan and Dennis Herrera, and lesbian San Diego District Attorney Bonnie Dumanis, along with her partner Denise Nelesen, a writer for the San Diego Union-Tribune.
'Hell' float in SF parade
Most Americans have never witnessed a "gay pride" parade firsthand. While some may have seen such parades on television, the secular media typically "sugar-coats" the events in their reporting so that they come off as tame and innocuous to the general public.
Smith, who also writes for San Diego News Notes, a Catholic publication, gives a far different perspective. She says, "There is nothing like the San Francisco [homosexual] parade. The demonic influence was quite palpable. You could feel it."
What alarmed Smith and LaBarbera was a city that seems to have given itself completely over to every aspect of the homosexual lifestyle. Displays of public nudity were common, with law enforcement routinely looking the other way.
Their report quoted an observer who said: "After the parade there were four police officers on bikes at the Civic Center staring at a completely nude man about 70 feet away, laughing at him and ignoring his five other amigos who were similarly attired in nothing .... I wondered what would constitute indecent exposure in the streets of San Francisco."
According to Smith, overt public displays of affection between homosexuals were common, as were signs expressing an "in your face" attitude to the heterosexuals in the audience. She reports that signs bearing slogans such as "We had sodomy for breakfast" and "Sodomize me -- It's legal" as well as pink dildos [fake phalluses] were seen around the parade route. One man proudly wore a shirt that read "I love my p----."
Mixed with these displays was a presence of corporate sponsors. Companies such as Wells Fargo, Bank of America, Verizon, IBM, United Airlines, Enterprise Rent-a-Car, AAA Travel, Anheuser-Busch, Earthlink and various drug manufacturers represented themselves as sponsors of the event. Smith wonders how the majority of these companies' employees would react seeing this sponsored event in person.
'Weapons of A-- Destruction' float by anti-Catholic group Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence
In her report for CWA's Culture and Family Institute, Smith wrote, "Such is life in San Francisco, the most tolerant city in America. Where else would you see bus-stop shelter advertisements for a hard-core pornographic website (based in the city, of course)?"
After viewing the parade, Smith believes that Christians should still try to uphold a moral standard. Yet she marvels that people who are offended by these displays of depravity, who 30 years ago would have been considered mainstream, are now labeled as "extremists." In view of this, she wonders why is it so difficult for many Americans to express their moral outrage.
Still, as more political, civic, and religious leaders embrace and show approval of the homosexual and transgender lifestyles in America, Smith fears the events in San Francisco may offer a glimpse into the nation's cultural future.
Huh? Since when have heteros kept sex, romance, love, and family private?
Your complaint amounts to simply saying you don't like what they do. Beyond that you are just engaging in special pleading.
Another big difference is that America celebrates it when straight folks do it. MTV airs it live and, hey, Girls Gone Wild II is now out.
Not unusual in the least. Many mayors and other political notables in other major cities attended similar "celebrations" all over the country.
I will seek verification from Well Fargo representatives and will pull my accounts (personal and business) from Well Fargo if this proves to be true.

Mind boggling indeed. It really looks like San Francisco and other cities have completely fallen for the gay agenda. Some interesting reads on the subject of the gay agenda can be found here:
Thanks for taking a stand on this issue. If only gays would keep their sex lives private and GLSEN would stay out of the schools...
Aww, they're just like you and me* doncha know?
*Except they define themselves by their perversions, they have an unusual attraction to human waste, they like little boys, they want their perversions subsidized and they thrive on hate.
That's wrong too and should be prosecuted, but at least they have the excuse of the stupidity of youth. What type of stupidity were these homos experiencing?

This is my response to their response:
You didn't answer my question. Did Wells Fargo sponsor the "Well Fargo Main Stage" at the San Francisco Gay Pride Celebration recently? That's what I asked - I didn't ask for your corporate philosophy on culture and diversity. Please, just answer the question.
I'm sure companies that did business with Germany during WWII also used common sense - like IBM. After all, for many people (and people run companies) money is much more important than morality.
Homosexuals and their assistants are the ones who are doing special pleading - and getting their way. I have yet to see a homosexual promoter respond to conservatives such as myself when we say that our compaints are with them pushing the homo agenda in schools, in the public sphere, etc, etc.
If you want to discuss school curriculum, we probably agree, but this constant generalizing all homosexuals so that you can bash them all is ridiculous, illogical, and unamerican.
In the story of Sodom & Gomorrah; when the homosexuals were literally struck blind by the angels of God, they still demanded the fulfillment of their sexually deviant desires. Their minds have been spiritually eaten up by sin, as cancer eats up an organ of the body physically. Their minds have been given over to the darkness; and they are bound by their own lust for one another, "doing that which is unnatural," and an abomination unto God.
