Darn, I had my office tv on but turned down so I could concentrate on posting. I did see THE NECK, but didn't hear the female counter to Nadler. I have a feeling Fox News will pick it up tonight. I hope, I hope.

Tony Snow now talking about it being fodder for this weekend. Tony says the RATs better beware on this story because of some upcoming info.....more rope a dope?

Oh, I hope so. I'd like nothing better than to see some of these rats shooting themselves in the foot.

Rope-a-dope, rope-a-dope, the rats want people to think Iraq hasn't done it before, because then people might assume they haven't given up on that anymore than the Baathists are sitting it out now. The rats are forgetting that the only things any intelligence agency would ever pass along to the UN is material which couldn't harm sources or reveal methods or Iraqi dissidents, which pretty much limits us to just using the weakest material. The last administration kept the UN too well informed, and the leaks undercut our guys and the inspectors severely in doing their jobs, not to mention risking people's lives unneccessarily. How can you tell the UN everything you know when the people undercutting the oil for food program are the French and they're sitting right there? Or how can anyone reveal real firm evidence in Niger, when French and German companies are part of Niger's mining?

The Dems are freaking , desperate, morons. Unfortunately for us, they have a lot of backing from antiAmerican types overseas. Their underhanded foreign contributions might grow this year because the French are no doubt miffed. On the otherhand, maybe they won't have much money to give without all that cheap oil they've been slipping out of Iraq, or all the weapons sales with Iraq...

A little history from another site:

FEBRUARY 8, 1981 : (NIGER SHIPS YELLOWCAKE TO IRAQ) Niger ships yellowcake to Iraq in two batches. Batch one, which consists of 432 drums and 137,435kg of yellowcake, is received. —Fourth Consolidated Report of the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency under paragraph 16 of Security Council resolution 1051 (1996), S/1997/779, 8 October 1997, pp. 25-26, ; Fact Sheet: Iraq's Nuclear Weapon Programme, IAEA Action Team, .

1982 : (IRAQ GETS YELLOWCAKE FROM NIGER & PORTUGAL)Iraq obtains 426 drums containing 139,409kg of yellowcake from Niger and 487 drums containing 148,348kg yellowcake from Portugal. —Fact Sheet: Iraq's Nuclear Weapon Programme, IAEA Action Team, .

MARCH 18, 1982 : (IRAQ GETS YELLOWCAKE FROM NIGER) Iraq receives is second shipment of yellowcake from Niger. It consists of 426 drums containing 139,409kg yellowcake. —Fourth Consolidated Report of the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency under paragraph 16 of Security Council resolution 1051 (1996), S/1997/779, 8 October 1997, pp. 25-26, .

(Hey, it worked once, why not try it again? With all of its front companies and agents, what maes anyone think Iraq was just looking to buy harmless French wine and tubing for Olympic grade bicycles? Does anyone seriously buy the story that international overisght, as the oft sourced Williams said, was good enough to be sure that Niger couldn't possibly have exported uranium to Iraq (or anywhere else Iraq requested?)
