They are not meaningless. The LP may indeed be a bad joke, but the moral-liberalism they espouse along with the DNC, the Greens, the Socialist Workers, and the RINOs have had a devastating impact on our society for decades.

I think that is because in recent elections they have often helped get democrats elected.
