If he was seen doing it and apprehended on the spot, thirty days should have been enough to hold a tial and exterminate this bug.

If he was seen doing it and apprehended on the spot, thirty days should have been enough to hold a tial and exterminate this bug. Maybe in the good old days. Nowadays he'd spend 20 years on death row racking up taxpayer costs for multiple appeals.

If he was seen doing it and apprehended on the spot, thirty days should have been enough...I think it was a good idea to hold up on the trial until the victim died, which took nearly three months. Then it was a long and complex trial, owing to the insanity defense. There were thirtysome expert witness, if memory serves. The outcome was not affected, and justice was served in the end. He barely had time to get his affairs in order before his hanging. I think justice was swift enough in this case. If this timetable were in use today, think of the human rubbish that would not be using up our air.
