For those who happen to be in California at this time, and in the Bay Area, you can tune into The Savage Nation (Michael Savage) radio show on KNEW 910AM 4pm Pacific. He moved from 650AM to 910AM radio dial. Tune in and have fun and for some of you Bushies, dont get too upset, hes just trying to get you to think a little.
As of late he's provided little else but vitriol.
His self-aggrandizement and statements about how he first did this or that thing are amusing considering these things I have seen posted here on FR days or weeks earlier.
12-3 - Hannity live
3-6 - Larry Elder live (if those are his live hours)
6-9 - Brian Wilson
9-> ?: Dr. Laura reruns
? - whenever - Coast
Anyone know the terms of Dr. Laura's contract? :-)
Yeah, she and Rush are both syndicated by Premiere Radio Networks. The deal is--you run Laura live or you lose Rush. They made an exception for KSFO to run Laura an hour later--but she's still in middays and 2 hours are live.
RE: Savage. No offense, but you haters should scroll up and re-read your posts. My thoughts:
1.) Thou doth protest too much.
(Seriously, some people have posted nearly a dozen times or more--.38sw--that's a whole lot of energy being spent on something you don't like...)
2.) You are obsessed with hating Savage.
3.) You can't handle the truth. Candy assed, watered down, kinder, gentler, talk show hosts are what's really difficult to take.
4.) You're right about Larry Elder--he's great--but he won't beat Savage.
5.) KSFO will not recover from what may be the biggest blunder in Bay Area radio in 20 years. (Even with Lee Rodgers & Rush...let's face it, Hannity is boring and Brian Wilson absolutely blows and George Noory? Dear God!
6.) It's funny how nobody listens to Savage for more than a few minutes, yet he's got the highest "Time Spent Listening" (Arbitron Ratings terminology) in the country!
Of course, I can't speak for anyone else, but I would appreciate not being pigeonholed as a "Savage Hater." I spent a lot of years in radio, have listened to KSFO since day one of their conservative ratio format, and used to listen to Savage every day. I no longer do for several reasons that I have considered carefully - it is not an emotional reaction. As I have said before, he is not my cup of tea, and there is little new that I hear from him.
However, I do not belittle anyone who strongly supports Savage ... I just don't share their opinion in that case.
Thank you.
Again, our opinions differ - but neither of our opinions are stone-cold gospel. I hardly ever listen to Coast - I will occasionally listen to Barbara Simpson on the weekends if she has a fascinating guest, but I usually tune into Bill Wattenberg then when he's pounding on the environazis.
