There are no obvious innocents until the plane lands safely at the end of the trip. People might look innocent but there's no reason to believe they actually are what they look like.

True, and there are some nasty old ladies, too, out there. Since the security folks don't know just how nice everyone's mother-in-law _really_ is, I guess they'll have to treat everyone the same, eh?

I got a better idea: bankrupt the airlines and start over. I expect anyone that gets funding to start an airline will have to have some kind of plan to make security convenient ane respectful for those of that are not a source of risk.

If you think these semi-retarded illiterates the TSA employs are increasing security, think again. I went to San Jose for a product demo, and the company gave us all squirt guns. The squirt guns had a metal spring in them.

The security guy kept 'wanding' and it would beep everytime it went by my cargo pocket with the squirt gun in it. He grabbed my calf with a quizzical look and asked if I had metal in my leg. I said "No", and he wanded again, it beeped again, he grabbed my calf again. This happened four or five times....HE NEVER CHECKED MY POCKET ONCE. I walked on the plane with the squirt gun.

TSA provides NO security. I can think of many ways to get around these stupid, lazy, stand-around, power trippers. They only accomplish the unthinkable - Americans submitting to brainless authority.
