Good morning, Miss Billie. God bless the U.S. military the world over. Keep them safe, courageous and strong.

Oh, my - he was! Thanks, ru, for posting your dad's WWII picture - I saved it to add to a future group of FR Vets if that's okay.

Good afternoon, Ru!
Seeing that pic of your dad is making me want to find a pic of my dad and my brother in uniform and see if I can't have them posted here.

Thank you both for posting pictures of the very *handsome* men in your life. I am grateful to all of our wonderful military people - please pass along my thanks!
.45MAN and I went to a decidedly *right-wing* concert (Ted Nugent and ZZ Top) Saturday night. Ted did nothing but praise our troops and our president in between songs (and *slam* the likes of the Dixie Chimps, Chirac, Schroeder, et al in language not fit to print here - LOL!). It was great.
There was a man sitting next to me who had come alone to the concert. In getting to know him, I learned that he has two sons, one of which is in the Navy. Between the Ted Nugent and ZZ Top sets, I told him to thank his Navy son for me for all that he does. The man was visibly surprised and told me he would. You could see the pride in his eyes. It was great!
