Thanks, Miss Marple!
We HAVE informed the local GOP about our efforts.
And, thank you for helping me to find some pictures of the President

It appears that New York governor Pataki has been reading this thread, from abcnews.go.com:

Bush Raises $4 Million in New York City Bush Raises $4 Million in New York City Fund-Raiser, Reminds Donors of War on Terror
The Associated Press
|
NEW YORK June 23 President Bush banked $4 million for his re-election campaign Monday, telling donors in this city scarred by Sept. 11 that "terrorists declared war on the United States of America, and war is what they got." Bush was careful not to directly mention the Sept. 11 attacks or the demolished World Trade Center in his campaign speech here. Aides have said they won't use the attacks as campaign fodder. But the fight against terrorism that was prompted by Sept. 11 loomed large in his speech about 80 blocks from Ground Zero. |
Bush opened his address by saying that "We have captured or killed many key leaders of al-Qaida, and the rest of them know we're hot on their trail."
He reminded listeners that U.S.-led military operations had toppled governments in Afghanistan and Iraq two countries he charged were terror havens. "Fifty milion people in those two countries once lived under tyranny, and now they live in freedom," Bush said.
Gov. George Pataki was explicit in citing Sept. 11 as a reason why Bush should be re-elected.
"Thank God we have a president who, when our (country) was attacked in a way we never experienced before, understood it's not a time for national hand-wringing, it's a time for national leadership," Pataki said. "On Sept. 11 and thereafter we could have never had a stronger leader for our country or a better friend for our city and state than George W. Bush..."

I may indeed go to this rally. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.
To: KittyKares
I would go but we're heading off to Mexico.
To: RonDog
Go Ron Dog....
I'd like to suggest that those who have not attended a Freep or rally seriously consider this one... When the President is in town, we need a big crowd of "real people" with reality checks to counter the protesters.
I'll be in SF at the SF Airport Marriott (posting details today!)
To: Mediaqueen
GREAT idea!
WE are "normal" - part of the MAINSTREAM...
THEY are "radical" - mostly a FRINGE group.
Go get 'em in
San Francisco!

To: Jessamine
WONDERFUL!
Please get there as EARLY as you can, and call my CELL PHONE when you get close to Century City, so that we can send out a few "Guardian Angels" from OUR side - to escort you from the Century City shopping center to our secure, well-protected rally area.
Just in case.
NOBODY is getting hurt at OUR rally. The LAPD and U.S. Secret Service will be out in force, and security will be INTENSE, but it never hurts to be careful.
And, if you can stay AFTER the rally, we will be meeting in the food court of the mall for the traditional post-FReep food, fellowship and PLANNING...
...for the "Haunting Hillary!" FReep on SUNDAY (6/29) at 10 am in Pasadena.

Well, you do the tax rally in Camarillo, and I'll do the Bush rally in Century City, and the Ventura chapter will be represented everywhere. Go Ventura!
It appears that the A.N.S.W.E.R. RATs have changed their plans, and
CANCELLED their "march."(We've got them on the run!)
