The Students have a lot to get off their chests. It is a powerful indictment of many in the international community.

Moving and powerful. The Europeans are useless and Bush is falling into the same mealy morass of moral ambiguity that the State Department seems incapable of getting out of.
So sad. Very sad.

Re #3
Those in the U.S. State Department may not be thrilled to read this.

In the land of Cyrus and Darius the head of the judiciary is an alien... One thing that has surprised me about this is discovering how many "enforcers" the mullahs imported from abroad, at all levels. I guess Iranians themselves no longer want to do their bidding, so the mullahs had to buy some foreign thugs.

MEGA BUMP !!! This should be required reading for all those who have thought of us Freepers as a bunch of nutty extremists. All our charges against "respected organizations" such as the UN, the EU, the New York Times, the World Bank, and the State Department are now corroborated by the very victims!

No use being a defeatist. Yes, the Europeans ARE useless, and there is no hope for them in the near future. That much is clear. President Bush does not do the right thing often enough, but he has done it several times, and whenever he did it, he was proven correct--and therefore, he is doing it more and more often.
Hypocrisy and greed and ignorance have been ruling the world--but their rule is coming to an end!

I like yer attitude...wish I could have more of it.
Maybe...just maybe..
..I'm starting to see cracks in the hold this ruthless cult has on over a billion people. Maybe these cracks can develop into fissures and then canyons and then, the whole friggin pile can fall into the canyons and wither away. Time will tell...

I hate to say this. But the letter was very long and most don't have the time or the attention span to read something this long. They need to make any further correspondence [sp] shorter and to the point.

Great post. Must read.
In 1979, through deception and ignorance of the populace, intrigues and plots of Western powers, inept foreign policies of the United States and the support of hungry, backward and atrocious terrorists groups such as Hezbollah, and other Palestinian groups our blessed land was handed on a silver platter to a gang of corrupt and Godless Mullahs.
They hijacked a nation and took its population hostage under the sham of religion and their perverted brand of Islam. At the expense of Iran and Iranians they pulled the biggest hoax in this ancient land and thus stained its history and civilization. They have forever shamed and disgraced an entire nation

Phewwwwww! Blessed Relief, I finished the read, and throughout, I was reminded that these same attitudes, ideas, and thoughts, expressed in the "Letter" NO book might be a better word, are the same as witnessed by millions, no, the World, as the Iranian students and people welcomed the mullahs and tossed the Shah.
And I said then and still say now, no matter how bad the Shah was, it will be easier to get to, (why would any one want a democracy), a democracy from the Shah then it will from a repressive religious regime. Nothing has changed, the recognition of what is needed is, in MHO a little short of reality, as the ranting in the "book" is heaped with emotion.
It is emotion we can all understand, but it will be interesting to see what chance, an unarmed student up-rising has against what it at one time welcomed into the country with wild jubilation. Suddenly everyone is against the freedom loving Iranian people. Admittedly, no students of today were involved or even born at the time of the Shah's departure.
