June 19, 2003 -- WASHINGTON - Now that he's out of politics, Al Gore is working on the ambitious project of building a liberal TV and radio empire, a new report says.

Gore has been talking with fat-cat Democrats about putting up big bucks for the project, which Gore views as an antidote to the influence of conservative talk-radio hosts like Rush Limbaugh, Time reported on its Web site yesterday.

BTW - there already is a Liberal Radio network. It's called NPR and OUR tax dollars pay for it. There is also BBC, but that is radical communist, and hard to find in the USA.

On second thought, why does he need radio? He could just invent something better... like, the Internet!

Always asking for a handout. Can't you just hear his whiny voice? A few sighs, a whole lot of condensation....ahhh, the memories.

Former Vice President Al Gore is seeking financial backers for a liberal cable television network to help Democrats counter conservative media voices, Time magazine reported on its Web site on June 18, 2003. Gore, shown during an Oct. 2, 2002 speech, has met with politically-oriented figures in Hollywood and wealthy investors, Time said on its Web site Time.com, citing unnamed sources. Sounds like Al is about to get a lesson in economics. No listeners=no advertisers=no revenue. Which is why NPR has to be subsidized. Dems are good at spending other peoples money, I wonder if he's put down any of his own?

Former "Saturday Night Live" writer and actor Al Franken, who's written two books blasting conservatives, is reportedly considering hosting a show...

Well, there you go. This enterprise's failure is assured.
