I used to own a Bultaco Matador - a Spanish 500cc trials bike.

"Spanish Moon Shot" - yep that what it was. Angry, snarly, narley, and cantankerous - but very very quick.

Man, that rings a bell !! Back in the early 70's i was playing in the dirt with a 250XL honda & an elsinore(SP?) and that bultaco name sure sounds like it came from that era.

Am I close? Or has old age set in?

That 250 I had was a mean four-stroke single cyl dirt bike, kicked some mean butt and always got lots of air time blasting off out of a mud hole! Ran side by side with the 400's.

If I sat on it now, It would just grunt! :-)
