A day in the life of President Bush (photos): 6/17/03

President Bush headed to Northern Virginia Community College in Annandale, Virginia today to speak regarding his proposed personal reemployment accounts legislation. Bush also took the opportunity to praise the recent tax cut package that was passed. Later in the afternoon, the President greeted the NCAA National Champions for hockey and Basketball. As always, he seemed to enjoy himself around some of the nation's best athletes. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

Thank you for what I am assuming is a serious, respectful question. As a New Yorker, her election as Senator causes me daily shame. Here are some things I observed in the Senate election.
1. The average person, even if college-educated, isn't all that well-read. There are too many districtions in our modern American life. Most people haven't yet learned that ABCCBSNBCCNN, etc. aren't reliable sources of news. Fortunately the number learning that fact is increasing, however.

2. Therefore, the mass media and the democrat party were able to successfully frame the issues and therefore the opinions. a. Hillary is the smartest woman in America
b. It was all about sex c. Ken Starr is a pervert, not to mention the butt of late-night talk show comedians.

3. The average person is real nice, and would rather scorn the messenger than believe anyone could do such bad things.

4. The average Republican voter is real nice and wouldn't think of acting like a hippie and going out acting like an activist.

5. The average voter respects the Presidency, and therefore the President and First Lady--no matter who they are.

6. Celebrities will draw crowds anywhere.

7. Lazio major blew it when he left his side of the debate stage and charged Hillary's podium with a piece of paper he wanted her to sign. I loved it, but, alas at that moment he lost every potential vote from every soccer Mom or teacher in the state (if they weren't voting for her already).

8. Manhattan is a democrat given. Upstate usually trends Republican. "Upstate" (all of NYS north of Manhattan, and then some) pre 9/11 despised NYC and was keenly aware of the giant sucking sound of taxes flowing south to be given to the tired and poor of NYC. Politicians never travelled west of Albany. Chuck Schumer changed that and Hillary followed. Both have been to my little rural hometown more than all previous politicians combined. Upstaters appreciated the candidate visits and believed Hillary's promises that she'd keep coming and send some money this way. She has done both, so look out in '06.

9. Feminist factor. One of ours has finally made it.

10. There are probably more, but I'll close with this. Check out an election map for 2000 Senate. Lazio won all but about two counties. The polls were too close to call. Suddenly she gets a 10 point shift. Maybe it was the large cities being counted late, or maybe it was just like the Presidential election of the same year, if you catch my drift.

The Clintons are a huge pimple on the backside of the United States.

With enough prayer they will fade away and we will be healed.

Welcome to the dose and FR....Yes, the rapist was elected twice, but not by the majority....Im still trying to understand how some people can see these two for what they are(despots) and others think they are the greatest....stupidity, does come to mind.

Hillary is NOT as popular as the alphabet channels/the liberal media would like you to believe.

According to Quinnipiac and Zogby, Hillary's most job approval rating in New York is only 47% (beyond New York City, she has very little support)!

According to Gallup, Hillary's favorability rating is 53% favorable 43% unfavorable (+10). In contrast, the same poll placed the President's favorability at 66% favorable 33% unfavorable (+33)! [NOTE: Once Hillary ends her book tour, her favorablility rating will return to its normal level of only 43-45% favorable!]

Good morning. WHat a great read. You must find an outlet for you writings. Is there some kind of agent that could get you connected to the "big" papers? Or must you just send them yourself? After a while they surely would recognize your talents.!

(come to think of it she actually sold her Husband's story for money . She made money out of a scandal that rocked America. That scandal insulted, humiliated and embarrassed America.)

You can see the truth from across the ocean, yet in the media frenzy that has been the Hillary tour for the past two weeks, no interviewer or commentator has put it as well.

1) She is still using her husband. Some feminist!

2) Neither Clinton feel any shame.

I'm so glad you found FreeRepublic, so you can access all the info that CNN and BBC consider irrelevant. Lobby your local TV to get access to Fox News. They are the best at real news.

Justice?....I hope in my lifetime....how he has gotten away with all his crimes is beyond me...I have spent 9 years hoping for justice to all of his victims.

God WILL provide the "justice." (I firmly believe this, and hope to live long enough to witness it.)
