I used a little bit of my inheritance from my mom and spent about 2 grand at ROBAR; while the Shepherd scope set me back about $525.00.
Next time, I'd probably get either the Springfield Armory rangefinding scope or a Trijiicon Mil-dot with illuminated reticle. Mil-dot is a bit of a pain, but once you learn the formula it can set up right quick! Somewhere, I have a Mil-Dot instruction manual a buddy of mine got me from his unit's MTU (Marksmanship Training Unit).

It's a lot of fun. It's on the left side in the column and under mildot ranging. My son bought the game and we had a lot of fun with it. I still have a problem with the wind.
The 1st Generation will set you back about 500 bucks, 2nd Generation around 600.
Money well spent IMO.
