I would love to. BUT Truthfully your being very idealistic because the dysfunctional left to their own means will not pause and have a moral clarity moment before they eat your young. I personally don't want to wait till they do something to my children before they get a tap on the wrist.

Your forgetting about all the women who end up with some type of psychological/post-natal mental problems after they get an abortion.

Abortion also contributes to a "don't care" sexual attitude. Most women who have one abortion go on to have more. They also have no reason for using protection and are one of the hetero/sexually disordered we $pay$ for when they start to rot from STDs.

I'll except your point of letting the immoral pay a consequence for their actions. Unfortunately they scream about how "uncompassionate" we were towards AIDS "victims" in the 80's etc...

They hold protests. They demand we pay attention to their dysfunctions, but only long enough to hand over the $money$. We are still supposed to keep our moral opinions to ourselves. They are half the voting electorate (Democrat).

All I'm saying is if you want MY $money$ your going to get my RULES. That means we get to all scream and regulate their messed up lives.

We get to say your ill and that's not intolerant.

I realize I'm being idealistic. In a way, I think everyone who is politically concerned/involved is - we all have a sort of mental image of "utopia" in our heads that we're trying to get to, and our votes reflect that. Even the Democrats have theirs, though it looks a lot different than ours ::lol::.

Rights and responsibilities *must* go together, I think we all agree on that. But what I see these days is that rights are being chipped away at at the same time that responsibilities are being taken over by the state. I want to reverse that, even if it has to be in small steps.

Somehow, we have to retrain our population that they aren't "victims" and that actions have consequences. I don't know how we do this - this is the kind of thing we were all supposed to learn as kids but many alive today didn't seem to, or got trained out of it. Making moves to NOT bail out people who get into trouble because of their own stupidity would be a good start.

Personally, I don't share your feelings on gays. Monogamous gays that mind their own business, go to work, mow their lawns etc are ok by me (I know several of these types of couples - they are as close to being the gay version of the Cleavers as you can get). The Act Up flamers I have a problem with as they are making their issues *my* issues and I'm never cool with that no matter what the issue is.

I also think that you're overestimating the pure $$$ cost (not emotional, spiritual, or anything else) of abortion, though I do agree that it may promote a more cavalier attitude towards sex and birth control. But I do think the tide is turning on that, which is good.
