Tame's activism update: the Recall Davis effort is going strong in Kern County!

Just a quick update regarding the Recall Governor Gray Davis. The recall effort is going strong in California, especially in Bakersfield/Kern County. At our current rate we should have enough signatures to prevail by the petition deadline.
I spent yesterday getting sunburned in front of a couple of WalMart stores in Bakersfield. I gathered more petitions than I expected considering my late start.
The the comments I received and the passion of the people to recall Davis was extremely encouraging, and covered the political spectrum (many who want Davis out are Democrats)!
I was surprised by how many people said things like "Can I sign it ten times?". So many people would hear me say the words "Sign here to fire Gray Davis!" and then they would flip an immediate u-turn and almost run over to me (I'm not kidding) and say "Give me that petition! You bet I'll sign it!" This was often followed by curses against Davis which I will not repeat here.
There were more than a few people who wanted to do more to Gray Davis than merely recall him.
As I listened to the petition signers, I heard wide and varied opinions as to why Davis should be gone, but there was a great consensus that he should be gone.
After Davis is recalled the big question (and concern) is "who will replace him?"
I covet your prayers in the recall effort, and I'll keep you updated. God Bless. tame.

FR HTML SANDBOX
And just a little fun hint...if you download Netscape 6 (you can use two browsers) it makes it really easy to post images because when you right click on an image in Netscape 6, it gives you the option to "copy link location" than all you have to do is paste it in here:
< img src=" paste link location here ">
Only without the spaces between the " marks and the < >
BTW, when using html....ALWAYS preview!

Cherry--thank you for that chart, precious!
spokeshave--Gray Davis is in serious trouble!
Do you know anything about Condi Rice? Where does she stand on moral/social issues? She could be the next California Governor.

RE: Condi....I was looking for an email I had with her credentials.....The woman is HIGHLY intelligent. However where she stands on the issues, I'm not sure.
