oh, i'm not there yet. my oldest is only 11. she doesn't like her belly button to show, let alone her UNDERWEAR!! lol

*I* wear thongs. I bought them on a dare, and actually like them. (Cotton only, and practical)

BUT, having said that, I would NOT wear my thongs with low riders. I think visible underwear is in poor taste -- male or female. nothing looks grosser to me than to see a young man with his boxers pulled up and his pants pulled down.. LOL

As a single male, I am changing my thinking and now believe this trend is actually doing me a favor. No, not for the reasons one might suspect. Rather such fashion statements are a quick way to weed out the idiot women without wasting too much time on conversation.

Any woman too dumb, insecure, or desperate to know or ignore how to properly dress is also likely to exercise poor judgement in other areas, from finances to child rearing. No thankyou.

Add tasteless attire to puffing on a cigarette and cussing like a sailor as excellent indicators of incompatability.

I'm not a prude necessarily regarding what is not seen - but I know that other kiddos are wearing thongs "showing", and what she looks like going out the door might be different than what she looks like when she walks in the school. I've seen girls at her school go IN the girls bathroom all looking all "wholesome", and then 10 minutes later they come OUT looking like "some ho'" instead. It's amazing what four pounds of makeup and some buttons can do... but then they wash it off before the final bell, button up and it's back to being sweet for the parents. It's a scam, I tells ya.

So, I just do a little pre-emptive strike on the temptation end of the wardrobe, and VOILA! Instant thong compliance! No "Weapons of *ss Obstruction" in this house by golly. None except mine, that is...

Why do girls wear their pants like that?

For easy access.

For the first part of your comment, I have seen the girls do the samethings,
at my kids highschool,

So, I just do a little pre-emptive strike on the temptation end of the wardrobe, and VOILA! Instant thong compliance! No "Weapons of *ss Obstruction" in this house by golly. None except mine, that is...

I love the Weapons of *ass Obstruction,"by the way,
As my oldest heads off to college this fall,18yo and all that,
It's funny her and her mom share alot of the same clothes,
However I would never think of throwing out any of her clothes, Less my wife decide to wear them,
then I lose out. ha ha ha ha.....

Walking around turning people on and disrespecting men isn't important (why, men should just get used to it)! There's nothing wrong with any sense of fashion, because...there are no standards by which to evaluate fashion. And that's true because, of course, there's no standards by which to evaluate anything! And we all know that provocative dress never ever gives rise to provocative thoughts! Why, the immaturity of adults never trickles down to the immaturity of teens, and we all know that what we can do anything we want without worrying about setting an example.

Oh, good grief! Disrepecting men!?! LOL, what a crock.

Who cares (other than some old prude, a muslim or a LDS, I suppose) if "provocative dress gives way to provocative thoughts"? ROTHLMAO! If it weren't for provocative thoughts I'd be dead long ago.

Lord, lord, if it were up to you women would still have to wear 3 or 4 undergarments and a hoop skirt or maybe a burka and a veil. Maybe we should put chastity belts on all our women too?

As to fashion, revealing clothing should only be worn by those who are easy on the eye. I don't wear speedos at the beach for fear of blinding my fellow man. Otherwise, weather permitting, the less clothing the better. LOL.
