Agree! What the heck happened to Geragos' story about the woman witness he supposedly had in 'custody'?
At the preliminary hearing, prosecution will have to show all evidence and folks they intend to have testify, right? Will Geragos have to do the same?
Again, as many of us have said, if this woman can truly prove Scott didn't do it, Geragos would be at Scottie's welcome home party and mom and dad's today, instead of in court...

I wish I could get that!! We get some Fox news but it is just the Fox News 7 from Spokane Washington. We don't get any of the FNC with all the interviews. The Weasels that run this Country won't allow Fox into Canada. I suppose we could get a dish and spit in his crooked face!

back to the question of why hire a PI The original story had the PI being a client/friend of Amber. He looked up SP as a favor.

Precisely!! Did you see those two Lawyers this morning?? They both looked like they'd been baptized in lemon juice and Scott had that clenched jaw and vacuous eyes!! No real life on that side of the Courtroom.

Nope, I recall "several" police news conferences where they stated that "Amber had been cleared and was NOT a suspect". Scott on the other hand, they said they had NOT been able to clear him. They didn't outright call him a suspect but said they would like to clear him but they had not been able to.
Additionally, Amber took a polygraph, Scott didn't.

Only able to catch a bit of it this morning and Scott's eyes reminded me of sooo many evil people (including Hillary's when she did the pretty in pink press conference!)

Right! I had forgoten about that!
I just keep seeing him while he was a talking head before he took the case, and night after night he was saying that Scott was toast and he thought there was no doubt that he did it.

Check out www.voodooscott.com in the disguises and you will see that Snott has the same eyes as Charlie Manson...they didn't even have to superimpose the face to show the similarities...

Ah who needs sports when we have City Confidential, American Justice, Forensic Files etc. (not to mention Court TV) all the GOOD stuff!! LOL I don't know the difference between a touchdown and an eiderdown!! Court TV usually drives me nuts too. Too much talk by the comentators, too many adds, not enough direct coverage.

Secret Cabul of Woman. Ah! I never would have guessed that. I was trying on some other possibilities, but none of them seemed to fit.
One night some weeks ago someone posted on this thread and labeled many of us with that term because he/she thought we were Amber Bashers. There are many of us who have been following these threads by runningbear from day one that have had some strong opinoins about Amber and her role in this case, and many have taken alot of heat for their degree of negative speculation.
Well, as a male who is a defender of Amber, I guess I'm not qualified for SCOW status. ;)

Yes, she did. I don't think she hesitated to be polygraphed. And it is no small matter that she WENT to Law Enforcement first, they did not have to come looking for her.

Exactly! Plus, he gets paid---- win or lose! I'm sure he gets a good deal of money upfront. He could care less about his clients. It all boils down to what's good for him! All famous attorneys have sought publicity like this one way or another. But the biggies who honed it to an art (IMO) were F. Lee Bailey and Gloria Allred.

Generally, it's disclosed.

Well my "Amber Bashing" wasn't because she is a single parent or because she is a masusse...in fact very early on I got into a very heated exchange with a few posters saying that I go to a Day spa and get services from very respectable people. And as a single parent myself, I know that there are many reasons that there are many of us out there, some reasons are unfortunate and sometimes we have no control of the circumstances surrounding that.
But..the thing that made my blood boil so to speak is the report that she allowed Snott to pick up and interact with her very young child when only knowing him for a very short time. The safety and well being of helpless children is number one!
Everything else, I will wait till the trial and make my judgements then.

They also publicly said Scott was not a suspect right up until the moment they arrested him. But they never said:
a. He passed a polygraph.
b. He's cooperating
There's a big difference between the way Amber and Scott in this trial. The authorities have made it crystal clear that Amber has been cleared.; They said exactly that in the police press conference wherein THEY presented her to the public.
She taped dozens of phone calls trying to trap him. Do you think she would do that if Scott was going to say, "Whew, we got away with it"? The MPD had a script of questions which she followed.
If the police department came out and so vocally endorsed her innocence, and she turned out to be the murderer, they would be on the hook for a huge lawsuit as well.
BTW, don't you think they checked her alibi as well as looked at the polygraph results?
To: Jackie-O; The Other Harry
I take that back...I am not Holy enough to "judge" anyone!
I will form an "opinion" when the facts come out at trial... ;0)
To: Wednesday's Child
Just a guess, but if they had declared him a suspect, then they would have had to back it up with some proof right then and there. I'm not an expert either. But the way I remember it is that the minute that they declared Scott a suspect that he would "lawyer up" and quit talking to the police.

There is nothing worse than losing a child -- and my son died of accidental carbon monoxide poisoning; at least I knew what happened to him and that he just did not suffer.
I can't imagine what's going on in the Rocha household. They'll never get over this.
If you have ANY gas appliances in your house, get a carbon monoxide detector TODAY.

Yes they did say that Amber had BEEN CLEARED and was NOT a suspect. OTOH, they said they would LIKE to clear Scott but were NOT able to eliminate him yet. And they said he was cooperating "somewhat" but not fully. There is a Big difference in the way these two people were described by Law Enforcement.
