...but I did NOT need to hear about severed limbs and sea creatures entering through a knife wound and working their mischief while I was trying to eat a sandwich!! Did you accidentally come upon the title for Scott's "[no] tell all" book from prison?

IF she did find out that he was married, he "could" have then said something like...oh yeah, I'm married but we've been separatedIn the babe market, separated is as good as single.
Sad, but true.

We don't know what "cleared" means to LE and the DA in this case. They said up until the moment they arrested Scott that he was not a suspect. I've seen recent articles describing the exact same phrase to Amber. I could be off on a wild goose chase wondering about Amber's involvement in this. But we really don't know everything right now.

But maybe he didn't say it. I can think of reasons why Amber wouldn't want to admit to others that Scott had a wife who was alive and well and living with Scott in Modesto after that business with Mr. Hart. If she was sooooo worried about people finding out .. she would never have voluntarily went to the police with the information that she knew Scott .
And as someone mentioned in one of the above posts .. the police would have checked her story out big time ..
What is on those tapes will be known to the public sooner or later ..

>>What kind of woman, with a child, would agree to help a guy make his wife disappear after knowing him for just a few weeks?<<
I don't know about the "just a few weeks" part but otherwise Ruth Snyder and Judd Gray got rid of her husband via murder. I'm willing to bet there have been many other cases of lovers consipiring to murder spouses since the 1920's.
I'm not saying that is what happened here. I'm just saying it is not outside the realm of possibility. If I'm wrong than I'm way wrong.

They grew up to be accomplished liars. Is this a quirk or more likely a 'rule of thumb' ? (in your opinion) To be honest, I really don't know that answer because when I was a kid, I got in more trouble for lying, then for the thing I did ..
After awhile, I learned not to lie to mom .. it wasn't worth the punishment.

>>Yes, but I've never seen a case where they are dealing with a "lesser party to the crime" and give a complete endorsement of their innocence as they have with Amber. <<
How would we know if they had done exactly so in other cases? Especially if they played it tight to the vest like Amber's been played by the DA thus far.
To: BunnySlippers
>>They have said she passed a polygraph, that she is not a suspect and is cooperating fully with the investigation. <<
They also publicly said Scott was not a suspect right up until the moment they arrested him.

If she was sooooo worried about people finding out .. she would never have voluntarily went to the police with the information that she knew Scott .Agreed. I think we have one bad guy here and only one.
It is Scott who seemed to be the master con and deceiver. It seems fairly apparent that Amber realized that she had been fooled by a man that looked to be in a whole lot of trouble.
She simply acted correctly to protect herself and is now willing to be of any help she can, IMO.
Contrary to a few unconfirmed stories that have been floating about her homewrecking, I found Amber to seem sincere in her regret and in her sympathy for Laci's family.
I also believe that all reports seem to indicate that she believed Scott to be unmarried.
It's just my opinion and I could be right or wrong; the same as that of anyone else who weighs in here.

Why would I consult a Medical dictionary to tell me what a word (fetus), which is derived from and identical to its Latin origin means? When I want to know the meaning of a Latin word, I'll consult my Latin dictionary. ;)

They also publicly said Scott was not a suspect right up until the moment they arrested him. Just a guess, but if they had declared him a suspect, then they would have had to back it up with some proof right then and there. IMO, they were giving him miles of rope to hang himself while still quietly working on finding a body, and putting more and more pieces of evidence together.

Is there any chance he's innocent?
If he IS innocent, he has to be the unluckiest/dumbest person in the world! What is known of the circumstantial evidence seems to point to just one person.......Scott.

Speakig of work, just so happens that I have some vaca time scheduled fo the week that the pretrial has been set!
I just got home and was able to see the proceedings today.
While I do see some weight loss on Snotty, he still look real full in the face to me, but is very pale and looks like he has some bags under his eyes. Still looks smug to me tho.
To: An American In Dairyland
Nope, I recall "several" police news conferences where they stated that "Amber had been cleared and was NOT a suspect". Scott on the other hand, they said they had NOT been able to clear him. They didn't outright call him a suspect but said they would like to clear him but they had not been able to.

I've got a question: What is a "SCOW"?
I see the term used regukarly, but I've never been able to figure out what it means.
