What are you saying about us wimmin?
LOL! Yes, there are lots of towns around here where I wouldn't want to live, just because of the name.....one I can think of, off the top of my head is "Pumpkin Center". Now, does that sound like a hick town, or what? Of course, then there is "Pixley" the setting for that silly tv show, Green Acres. Yep, Pixley is just down the road from us. LOL!
Strawberry Rhubarb Pie
Pastry for 2-crust 9-inch pie, unbaked
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 cups diced rhubarb
1 pint strawberries, hulled and sliced
2 tablespoons butter
Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.
Roll 1/2 the pastry and line a 9-inch pie pan. Mix sugar, flour and salt together. Sprinkle a little of this mixture into the bottom of the pastry lined pan. Toss the rest of the sugar mixture with the rhubarb and strawberries. Turn the fruit mixture into the pie pan and dot with the butter.
Roll remaining pastry, cover pie, seal and crimp edges. Cut a few slits in crust to vent steam. Bake in preheated 425 degree F. oven for 40 to 50 minutes.
PS you can add up to a total of 2 cups of Strawberries if you prefer a more Strawberry taste.
She's mean to everyone....it's her true nature. : (
I charge her with hobbit abuse and I need a lawyer!
Is Freezie in the house? Instead of charging nic, maybe you should find someone to TAKE charge of her *mind*.
Green Acres was one of my favorite shows! <p. A bit silly but still a favorite!
I love strawberry-rhubarb pie!
I only claim what is mine to be mine, wolfie!
Uh-huh, right. At least, Meekie fesses up to his stealing ways. LOL
Free! are you able to take my "case"?
You'll both be lucky IF I decide to come back here, after all the mistreatment I get!
Uh-oh! Here you go again!
Only the truth, Pip. LOL
What, you want a sausage lady to take your case? What's she gonna do, put some mustard on it! yuk, yuk, yuk. I'm just so funny, sometimes! : )
You've got nic down pat!
Well, I sure am glad I changed the word "stupid" to "silly". I was afraid we might have some Green Acres fans here. "Silly" is good........."stupid" - not good. LOL.
Hey, I confess to watching it a couple of times. ;-)
Sounds really good, Gail. Think I'll ask my Aunt to make me one. : )
