I couldn't agree more. Her designer needs to talk to us - we'll set him/her straight, huh? We know what looks good on her, and this sure doesn't. AND - she's a Winter - and while Gold can be worn by 'most' Winters, not this one. She looks soooooo much better in crayon colors - think of her in red, blue, green, purple - any of the pure Crayola colors, and she looks like a knockout.
Ohhhh, why didn't they consult with us?
Dear First Lady, please dump the designer who puts bows on your gowns and find a grownup designer, please?

You are so right about her being a winter!

Laura looks lovely in pastels or in darker versions of pink, peach, yellow, and green. One of my favorite is the yellow suit she wore for the "Teacher of the Year" award ceremony.

You know, Im trying to think of who designed that dress and for the life of me, I can't remember the name. And I just heard it a few hours ago. I remember Michael Faircloth designed her Inaugural dress. I liked that one.
She should consult with a new designer. My big thing is the bows. Never liked em, and never will. But Mrs. Bush is a beautiful person inside and out regardless of what she's wearing.

The dress I'm wearing Saturday night for an event I'm in has a bow on it. It's kind of a 'sack' dress, lovely, but I need something that covers the 'hump' and this does it pretty well. I could do without the bow, though. Durn.
