I have to agree, I don't like that bow on our Lauras dress, and
The President of the Phillpines is a lovely petite woman..
but her dress is hideous, she's too delicate for those awful sleeves..
I mean no disrespect, but it looks like something from Star Trek..

"The President of the Phillpines is a lovely petite woman.. but her dress is hideous, she's too delicate for those awful sleeves.. The wide, bell-shaped sleeves are traditional formal Filipino style. Very frequently, the Filipino dresses are made of pineapple silk, shimmery and luminous. She's a tiny, classy BABE.

It's the national dress of the Philippines! Sorry ... she may not like it either - actually, I think her dress is lovely.

I agree with you on the sleeves, but I have read that big sleeves is "cool" in the Philippines.
On a much more positive note, did you all see the First Lady ths afternoon when they first welcomed the President? She was wearing higher heals that accentuates her lovely legs.
Also, did you see Joyce Rumsfeld at the dinner? She is fabulous looking for a woman of her age. I hope I age as gracefully as her. She seriously looks like a woman in her later fifties that chooses to dye her hair grey.
And Condi Rice looked beautiful. I only got a glimpse of her when she was leaving.
Last but not least, our President looked fantastic!

I felt that way, too. Those sleeves are not good for her petite size. I'm not sure WHERE they'd ever look good. She's a cutie, though, isn't she?
