I am curious how such a horrendous murder could have been committed with no significant amounts of blood showing up on the kitchen floor, bathtub, clothing, boat deck, truck bed, etc. Have you heard any theories?

RICHMOND, Calif. Law enforcement agencies continued searching the San Francisco Bay Sunday because prosecutors are "desperate" to find more evidence in support of their theory that Scott Peterson (search) killed his wife Laci, a source close to the investigation has told Fox News.
Meanwhile, Fox News has learned more details about exactly who the defense team representing husband Scott Peterson believes may have committed the murder of his wife -- and it's someone other than their client. They say a satanic cult may be involved.
Although the autopsy has been completed on Laci Peterson (search), authorities have been unable to pinpoint a cause of death and it is now listed in the documents as "undetermined," according to a source.
The head and some other parts of Laci's body still have not been recovered.
The prosecution has ordered renewed searches in San Francisco Bay because, the source said, they are hoping to find body parts or the anchors allegedly used to weigh down the body.
"They realize that every avenue they've pursued up until now has come up a dry hole," the source told Fox News.
"Remember that mop that supposedly had Laci's blood and vomit on it?" said the source. "Well, that turned up negative. And the blood in Scott's truck? That turned out to be Scott's blood, not Laci's. And remember Scott had told the police he had cut his knuckle."
More news on the case came on Sunday.
Sources close to Scott Peterson's defense team told Fox News that his legal team is trying to locate a number of people in a brown van that neighbors of the Petersons told police about.
Soon after Laci's disappearance, neighbors said they saw a suspicious van combing the area on the morning of Dec. 24. About two weeks after her disappearance, police were able to locate some people in that brown van, and the officers determined they were landscapers. Law enforcement officials stand by that conclusion.
But, Scott Peterson's defense team believes these people in the van may be tied to a satanic cult.
Sources told Fox News that the men and women in the van had no home address listed in the police reports and that they had no landscaping equipment in the van. Fox News has learned that a mystery woman was either in the van or claims she saw Laci being abducted by someone in that van.
Modesto had an active satanic group in the 1990s, but prosecution sources call the satanic theory being put out by the defense "laughable and absurd."
Police divers first returned to waters near Richmond on Friday for what they described as a follow-up investigation that would last through the weekend. It has been their first major presence in the area since the body of the 27-year-old pregnant Modesto (search) woman and her unborn son washed onto a Richmond shoreline last month.
The U.S. Coast Guard was providing security for what a spokesman described only as an ongoing criminal investigation led by Modesto police.
In a recorded message, Modesto Lt. Doug Ridenour said the search had enlisted help from other police agencies, as well as the private sector. He said that the department had no plans to release any further information.
The badly decomposed remains body of Peterson and Conner, her son who was about six weeks from his due date, were discovered several days and about a mile apart by passers-by in mid April. Fox News learned that not all of Laci Peterson's remains were found, and that they may have been wrapped in plastic and held down by heavy material.
"She was carved up. The head is not the only thing that was missing," a source from Scott Peterson's defense team told Fox News.
The bodies surfaced several miles north of where Peterson's husband, Scott, said he went sturgeon fishing on Christmas Eve day - the last day Laci was seen alive.
Modesto Police arrested Scott last month and prosecutors have charged him with double murder. He has pleaded innocent but remains in Stanislaus County Jail without bail, facing a death penalty prosecution.

Like it or not, I haven't heard of any direct evidence other than a hair on a pair of pliers. Exactly. YOU HAVEN'T HEARD about it. That does not mean that it doesn't exist. I'll wait until the trial to actually see the evidence rather than try to decide what's what based on the media's hysterical SPECULATION on this case.

Dude, how do you know Scott did it??? I want to hear the facts; if the Modesto PD is a bunch of incomps, I want to know. I'm from the area and know good cops and I know a lot of incompetent cops; So please, don't get up and cry when things are said that you disagree with even though you have no idea what you're disagreeing against.

Everytime somebody on Fox News starts talking about this case, I switch to other news. When the other channel starts talking about it, I switch again. This is exactly what I do. These pundits are just trying to resurrect the Glory Days of the O.J. case, where they got to blab on 24 hours a day with their bloated opinions.
Not only do I always turn Whorealdo off when he shows up, but also that awful Greta. I can't stand her, nor most of her CNN retread guests. She can't even talk. Surely FOX could and should do better! Even big-head O'Reilly is getting to me.
In the meantime, I'll watch Scarborough Country or a movie. I'm outta there!

Good point. SP is probably guilty, but the state needs to make the case. The public still waits and is curious in the interim. The press will feed the curiousity. Such is life.
I'm not a big fan of Jerry Rivers, but don't lose sight of what and whom he is: an entertainer as well as a journalist. (I'm addressing this to the posters on this thread, generally, not specifically to you MHT). It's the May ratings sweeps period, so every broadcast and cable channel is pulling out all the stops to drive the rating numbers. Rivers is just doing his job.
You can pound your fists on the table and stamp your feet all you want, but this is the economics of television. Either hold your nose and watch or turn off the boob tube. Exercise your freedom not to watch. But don't pillory Rivers for being what he is: a TV entertainer who talks (sometimes interestingly) about current events.

Well, I did hear a local prosecutor calling this a slam dunk! If they are trying to keep all this great evidence secret, that doesn't help a lot. Don't blame Geraldo for doing his job. Sounds to me like you already have Peterson convicted and are upset that others don't agree....yet!
To: dead
I still haven't figured out why this guy killing his wife is supposed to be so important to me.The same reason that the annual overloaded ferry story in the Philipenes and the annual flood deaths in Bangladesh are important to you.

I read the article--no real amount of spin detected, and I'm going to wait until the verdict is in before convicting Scott Peterson in my mind.
Sounds like you want him to be guilty.
