I have never read a more concise and true statement of the way the problem starts and escalates: the woman starts it, but the man finishes it. And to think that it actually came from a woman, well, i am astonished and amazed. You mam, are a gem.

NASCAR? Nope. They do have the Cecil County Dragway. I could not believe someone actually read the Whig besides me. Cecil County is a wonderful place. Cecil County has
problems and this article spotlights one. I was at a redlight in Rising Sun when I heard a tap on my window. I klansman tried to hand me klan literature. Cecil County
will move ahead but it will take time. They may have expensive yachts in their marina's but the seedy backwood trash still lurks.

I said: "Actually, several studies have shown about as many men are abused, physically, as women"

and you said:"Yeah, right."

I take it that means you do not accept that as a fact. Here's another one. Woman are as likely, and some studies suggest more likely, to use a weapon in their abusive actions....presumably because they are less physically strong.

Abuse is a bad problem on both sides of the gender isle. The presence of preconceived notions that "MUST" be right, or of an agenda, or generalizing from one's experience to the universe at large doesn't help, IMO.

I agree that women can hit, beat, slap, shove, kick, and worst of all, use a weapon. But how many of those men are battered for years and threatened, and so downtroden that they believe they can't do anything about it?

Just last week, I sat in on a trial where the woman abused the man for 15 years. He finally died as a direct result of her abuse. Fortunately, she was convicted of murder.

Having an erection != willing sexual partner, just as vaginal moisture != willing sexual partner.

Truth bump.

{blush} You flatter me, sir. Actually, those who have posted the empirical data deserve much more of your admiration than I do.

Ex-jailer sorry for sex acts; Woman to register as offender for life

Woman-rapes-man news report... In this case, it was technically rape due to his incarceration and her job as guard.

The fear issue is true - if one is scared of the woman, it's not as easy to get into the mood. I agree with those who say it's not likely for women to physically overpower and force a man to submit; on the other hand, it's also true that while a man many not want sex, his body will do its thing once she gets going if she does things correctly.

I am starting to think the DNC sent out a memo to all activists:

We have only one power left to us: rudeness. When you don't like the direction a meeting is taking, get up and walk out. If we can no longer silence the "other voices" through the media, then we must silence them in the live public forum.

LOL

I've known several men who have suffered physical abuse. A lot of women feel they can get away with hitting a guy whenever they want because the guy knows if he hits her back, HE'S the one the cops will take awy.

True ..... the man's only option at that point is to get away. Strange.
