I merely displayed the falacy of your approach and that the phrase "open minded" is largely abused and mostly worthless in application. Being open minded is good when picking socks or what color tie to wear. When it comes to whether or not to decriminalize murder, rape, drug use, etc, it's largely inapplicable because its a moral issue - not a minor decision.
