I'm sitting here right now just waiting for another Dose! President George W. Bush has won my heart in every category, and I see him going into the history books as one of our GREATS.

As for that book, ohioWfan, I could write an entire book about my own beloved husband and our full-partnership marriage. I've already told my grandaughters that for a real and wonderful marriage they MUST window shop a lot before they find the right one for them. (I must admit, however, that my husband and I KNEW 3 months after dating that this was IT for us!)

woke up a lot of Christians

My fear, not at all unfounded, is that they are back asleep at the wheel again. I'm dumbfounded at the complacency I continue to see. We can only pray that nothing happens between now and Nov. 2004 to cause the Church to yawn and stay home on election day. We are like the Hebrew children in the wilderness---we seem never to REALLY learn from our past mistakes and keep repeating them over and OVER. If Christians don't flock to the polls in droves, we'll have another Florida.

Me, too!

I'm NEVER here at night! (Stayed late here at work to be a "server" at a banquet held to honor the men of our church's "Car-Care Ministry.) But wouldn't it be posted by now? Does Rintense post on Friday nights? Or does she give herself the weekend off?

Since you seem to find all of the good articles about President Bush, would you see if you can find one for me? Yesterday (the 15) he spoke at the Peace Memorial Service and the guy who introduced him had just the BEST to say about him. I saw bits of it on TV and would like to read the transcript but can't find it anywhere. I want to know what the police officer said. I know how to find a transcript of President Bush's speech. I also heard the tail end of another introduction today and they were praising him as being the best, etc. I love to read and save those remarks almost as much as hearing President Bush's words. **smiling** Put it this iway, I'm just a real sucker for salivating over good things said about him.

Writing a book about marriage? Who better than us!

Here's my story, just for grins. I met my Mother-in-law first! We were in a local community college class together the fall after I graduated High School. We became friends and she would listen to me whine about a total lack of social life. Then she would go home to her son and listen to HIM whine about a total lack of social life. SOOOO she put two and two together and thought "hey maybe they could date and I wouldn't have to hear any whining anymore" not even thinking that it would go anywhere.

She started suggesting the idea to me. I'm thinking, if Mom is trying to set up dates for this guy, he must be quite the loser, so no thanks. SO she tricked us and arranged for her son to meet her (and me) for lunch. We were equally underwhelmed with each other.

Then, a week later, I missed a class. MIL had her son call and arrange to bring me her class notes. While I copied the notes, my mother grilled him. When I was done, we saw an add for a movie. We looked at each other and before you knew it, we were out the door and headed to the theater. We saw the movie, an awful one, and then talked in the car until 4 a.m.

We were engaged 6 months later, when I got back from Basic Training and Tech School. Leaving him at the airport was one of the most difficult things I ever had to do, but I had enlisted several months before we met and had no choice but to go.

Today, as I am writing this, he just brought me breakfast! We have two kids and have been married for 20 years. He completely supported my retirement from the military in August of 2001 and then totally supported my returning to the military after 9-11.

He's a great guy and I am one very lucky lady.

I love collecting "how we met" stories, especially for my genealogy which, if I were to ever write a book about I would title "A Thousand Chance Meetings".

SO I'm in!

I think the storm clouds (demonic hordes) are gathering even now to prevent his re-election. Now everyone else still left on this thread will think I'm wacko. But you know what I mean

Nope, don't thing you're wacko. I agree completely. The bribing, corruption and dirty tricks are already in the works, I'm sure. They will do ANYTHING to steal the election this time. They are absolutely desperate.

God is always into exposing things. This is just another example of it. He brings things to light that are hidden (just like he did with the Clintons). We can't be complacent though about anything the left is doing. Mxxx
