How many of those corrupt Democrats who complain that Bush hasn't pursued al Qaida effectively enough oppose a measure of energy independence by drilling in ANWR?

The same number that insist the war in Iraq is all about oil. The same number that warn the government not to confuse the action in Iraq with the war on terror. In other words, all of them.

Drilling in ANWR will help us but our allies would still be on the hook. Last I heard Japan ( just for one example )gets 90% of their oil from Saudi. Several other nations also have a major need for their oil. We would still have to protect our allies interests over there.
