Luis, please don't take this wrong, but I cannot get interested in baseball, and I have really tried.
I have come to the conclusion that a society which is fixated on baseball has few other venues of entertainment. Cuba is a prime example.
I know this is heretical on my part. This is one of the few things with which I disagree with the President. I just can't get interested in it. Probably it is some sort of genetic failing.
I am glad baseball exists. I hope Cuba one day can send her players as free agents to the USA, without the necessity of them requesting asylum. I hope one day everyone in Cuba can afford a beer at a ballpark.
But I just can't get interested in baseball. Sigh.

My dad new everything about baseball.
He took me to the old 'league park' where we lived in Cleveland and told me the legends played there.
It looked liked a 'little' league park ...
"if you caught the ball outta the park they would let you into the game if you gave them the ball back" ...
I will never forget that ...
before television --- 'sound' movies !
My aunt knew all the players on the team for fifty years ...
some personally --- one lived on her street !

Don't beat yourself up about it, lady detective. You are hardly alone in that regard. My dear late father whom I adored was a Cubs fan---though he never lived anywhere near Illinois--- I never understood why</>. Baseball is soo dull anyway, but why choose a team that's famous for losing to root for?

It's not exactly a character flaw, but we still love you.

Doesn't interest me either. I did like watching Mark McGwire hit long balls, thats about it.
