From what I hear, being white isn't the problem in Mass. -- it's the PROTESTANT part that gets one in trouble.

Friends of mine have lived outside Boston for 12 years now and swear they rarely meet anyone who is NOT Catholic.

Sounds like where I grew up on Lawn Guyland (NYC suburbs), although there were Jews in some of the nearby towns. You'd sooner meet a Klingon where I grew up as meet a Protestant.
