Good morning sistahs and FRiends!
Lady Shallott, I am sorry I was not able to be here yesterday to join the Finest Welcoming Committee in saying how nice it is to have you with us. Hope to see you here often! :-)
Billie, I love this theme today!! Gardening is one of my all time favorite things and is the reason that I have not been around much lately. We are having some beautiful weather here and I just cannot stand being inside on these warm sunshiny days. Your morning coffee garden looks so inviting! (Bet it would be a nice place to sip Margaritas too.) ;-)
I have been fortunate to have been able to visit Butchart Gardens during the summer a couple times, .........it is just breathtaking. I could have spent days there and still not seen it all.
Our ground roses are at their peak right now, so Saturday I had JK take a couple of shots of my flowers out front.......Since this is "Garden Day", I will post them. :-)
The lavender flowers are Lantana (they attracts butterflies all summer). Behind the Lantana are deep maroon Dianthus - can't see them well, but they line the walk in the picture below. There is a yellow climbing rose next to the garage. The little orange flowers on the left are Gazanias. The trees are "Watermelon Red" Crepe Myrtles, but they won't bloom until next month.
Another shot of the front........
Since we are allowed to brag about out gardens today, I have some lovely Roses and Day Lilies in the back garden. Later today I will see if I can locate and post a few more pictures. :-)

Hi (((((((((Billie)))))))))))
What a great theme (and a beautiful presentation) for today's thread!
Alas, .45MAN and I have joined the legions of apartment dwellers, but I hope to be back in a house with a yard one day. I love to garden and have missed it greatly these past few years.
Thank-you for the opportunity to live vicariously through others' efforts!

It grew into this...

"I don't claim to have a green thumb nor spend a lot of time digging in the ground, but this is where I enjoy early morning coffee, listening to the birds sing, and watching the goldfish. It's peaceful and quiet and relaxing."Great photo Billie, looks like a lovely place to enjoy peace and quiet :-) I took a peak at the thread while at work today, it is beautiful!!
Thank you for posting the photo of Lucy with my Autumn mums. Right now in front of the house, my pink azaleas are in bloom.
Today's thread inspired me, on my way home I stopped and bought bulbs, Lilly's and Dahlia's. Also bought a Ruby Star Vine...thanks for the inspiration. Will read through the entire thread this evening. Below is a photo from Longwood Gardens in PA. I have been there and it is awesome.
