The war on terror is not over, yet it is not endless. We do not know the day of final victory, but we have seen the turning of the tide. - George W. Bush

The news of the day...Henry Waxman wants cost of jet fuel v helicopter costs to land on carrier. Hardball..even Matthews laughed and Katrina Van Der HOO was so silly that Chris suggested they want photo ops only at dumpsites.Mystery AK says they showed a clip of Bubba landing on a carrier!I'd say the President's visit to the Lincoln was most successful!

***On the trail of WMDs***
Papers suggest 'active' program of illicit arms
CAMP AS SAYLIYA, Qatar — U.S. military officers are examining "very promising" documents that they believe will allow them to put together a comprehensive picture of Iraq's secret weapons programs.

Some of these documents, described as complex, technical and difficult to translate accurately, have revealed orders for chemical-weapons precursors, said the U.S. Central Command official in charge of chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear defense. Precursors are materials that could have either military or civilian uses.

Maybe these guys could teach our media a thing or two about investigating and researching.

I caught part of a bit by a local talk show host that our President actually saved the military a lot of money (perhaps advertising money?) because in the few days after GW's dramatic landing on the carrier, voluntary enlistments were the highest in modern history.

I didn't catch if he was referring to Navy or Air Force enlistments. Anyone heard anything on this?
