You're obsessed with this all-white prom.

Perdue is a coward. He sends a shoe-size IQ black woman to debate O'Reilly; she ends up reading most of what she had to say, which was not much. He cut her to ribbons because she was not prepared to say much of anything.

O'Reilly's incensed about this all-white prom because it's an "in-your-face" to the blacks in that community. Remember, last year, this same school sponsored an integrated prom.

Perdue ran on a vote on a referendum on a pseudo-confederate flag, and the legislature deprived him of that.

He can't afford to hack off the NASCAR crowd any further, so he's hiding.

Don't you think that when rich elites like O'Reilly send their kids to an all-white rich school that they are choosing segregation?

By the way, this same school is holding an integrated prom this week. The kids in question organized a pre-prom all-white affair? What, pray tell, can or should Governor Perdue do about it? It already happened, and no amount of Swaggart "They have sinned," bs from Perdue is going to change it.

Does residual racism exist in the South? Yes. Does it exist in the North? Yes.

I think the constant maligning of Southern whites as racists is unfair, I think the enclaves of Liberalism and elitism need to examine their own lives before they beat up misguided 18 year olds at a private prom.

Sinkspur, do you think the Confederate Flag (a Flag that millions of Southerners fought under, a couple hundred thousand died for it) should not be allowed to be displayed if the majority of the voters want it to?

I think the South has come a long way, ( FYI, I have traveled there and lived in the South, and hope to live there again, but I am not a Southerner) and I think the Flag issue should not make the top thousand for Black Americans (who have many more pressing matters to deal with).

By the way, don't you think that O'Reilly would be inconsistent to send his daughter to an upper class all-white school? I think he should send his kid to a private, majority- minority school in a working class community. You can't demand white Southerners to do what you have so purposely avoided.

How representative of America is Long Island?

I am just a person who has seen the gross hypocrisy of non-Southern whites. When African Americans left the South and moved to the big cities in the North, the whites fled to suburbia and remain there. Why does O'Reilly commute to the City from Long Island?

This school IS sponsoring an integrated prom. This other affair(think dinner dance) was 50 miles away and paid for with private funds. The governor nor Bill O has any business getting involved in friends associating with friends.

If I'm wrong, link it, but as I see it it's a totally private affair not on school grounds. Misguided I guess [I haven't interviewed anyone there] but still private and America still represents all points of views, last I heard. Even the one's you or I don't agree with.
