President Bush headed to Little Rock, Arkansas and spoke to a crowd regarding the economy and once again called on Congress to pass his tax cut plan. Bush also participated in a roundtable of small business owners and their employees. In the morning, the President called President Sezer of Turkey to extend his condolences to the President for the men, women and children who were injured and killed in the recent earthquake. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

Their brag says you can shower with it, etc. And they're right. Not only that, you can eat, drink, and even sleep in it and it not only doesn't come off, it looks good the second day. It has two sticks; one is the color and the second is the gloss. You apply the gloss as you wish (usually twice a day works for me). But the underneath color won't come off unless you use Vaseline or Cover Girl's make up remover.

I was just reading another thread about how clinton is becoming obsessed wtih W's popularity and it's driving him crazy that W is more respected and popular than he ever was or is. Also, attendance at his speeches is twindling and the applause he garners is less than it once was. In addition, he's pushing Hillary to get in the presidential race, so he can be out in center again but those in the democratic party are telling him NO! That he is the death knell for the party but bill doesn't listen because it's the attention he craves. Link Please .. I really need to go to bed with a smile on my face
So the DNC thinks Bill is the kiss of Death .. and what the DNC doesn't realize is .. Bill will never let them leave .. hehehehe

You rank up there with lawgirl on being queen of research! That is a cool page. I need a second color and it will be fun searching on the web before I go to the store. I like the idea of the pearl-type shades.

Not only is his name in Gold, but he's wearing a GOLD Navy Aviator Wings. (AF is silver.) He was thrilled to have his name and the wings on his flight suit as reported by CDR Lusien, "LOOSE", the pilot, who was asked lots of questions upon his return from the carrier. He gave a press briefing of sorts, but I've seen little in print of what I heard on Fox News.
And once again, I'd like to correct that "Loose" almost did a "bolter" - meaning that if he'd missed that FOURTH wire, he'd have had to go around. They count DOWN on carriers, and therefore, our CinC's pilot caught the FIRST POSSIBLE TRAP WIRE that could be caught. It doesn't really show it in this picture, but I did a slow-mo of my VCR tape. That SV-3 did a quick sink right over that wire and caught it. It was the most surprising trap I've ever seen. I thought for sure he was headed for the next trap wire, but NOPE, he caught that one. The FIRST ONE. Amaaaaaaaaazing.
One more thing I thought you'd like to know. I've been corresponding (sending Fox News headlines and AF.mil and Navy.mil news, with the help of some friends who have access to those websites and sent threads directly to my group list on the Connie) to four "brown shirts" - crew chiefs for a jet squadron- on the USS Constellation.
Do you remember the picture of the President, shaking hands with the first "skittle" in the honor guard lined up to receive him? The President has his head to one side and a great grin on his face? Word has been flying around about what that guy in the "grape" colored shirt said, and here's the word I got - (The purple shirts secure the jets, chock them, make sure they are secure, I think). He told the President that it was a thrill to be able to secure HIS President's jet on his flight deck, and thanked him for coming to visit them personally on the carrier.
I just thought you'd like to know.
If mtngrl ever teaches me how to post photos, I have some of the most fantastic photos those guys sent me of "their squadron" - one of them, jets flying in formation, doing a flyover of the carrier. It's one of the most impressive jet/carrier shots I've ever seen - and I'd really like to share it with you. Telling these guys that we were praying for them and writing "God bless you" meant so much to these guys. All the news they were getting seemed to indicate that they were't being supported or thought highly of back here in the US. They kept thanking me for supporting what they were doing, and I kept sending them Free Republic articles, showing them how MUCH they were being supported, sending them the prayer threads that "kayak" and "patriciaruth" did and telling them to change those TV's to Fox News!!!- and everytime, they would write back, thanking me, and praying a blessing on ME!!!!
I can't tell you how impressed I was by these young guys - 18-19 and 22 - how seriously they took their jobs, how well they did even though they were working 12 to 14-hour shifts, 7 days a week. I heard that there was a Chief Petty Officer who was awarded the Navy Cross because he stayed up for 52 hours supporting the "shock and awe" due to the fact that there just wasn't a replacement for him. I think he may have been on the CVN72 - the USS Abraham Lincoln, but not sure. But his position was "mission critical" and so he says he just "did what I had to do"!!! FIFTY-TWO HOURS OF IT! These guys are so young, so well trained, so patriotic, so dedicated and so deserving not only of our prayers but of our thanks. God bless them, each and every one.
