Eating M&M's isn't immoral. Gambling is immoral.

Trying to achieve money by chance is a very immoral activity. It shows that those who preach always have some vice to hide. I have always admired William Bennett, but, now I will look at him in a different light. I have done the same with Newt and Livingstone and some other prominent Republicans. We expect Democrats to be morally weak, but, not conservatives.

I think maybe, we put too high a standard on our politicians. After all, they are only human and not divine. Those who preach morals to others had better not have skeletons in their closets.

Get off of your soapbox and stop judging the man.Gambling is legal in several states. It is his right to use his own money in the form he wishes to use it as long as he doesn't break the law.

Gambling is only chance if you're bad at it. Good gamblers are less beholden to random chance than stock market traders.

Trying to achieve money by chance is a very immoral activity.

Can you provide some basis for this claim, other than your own personal belief system? If your position is founded in a religious perspective, can you provide a scriptural reference? As I said to another person, personal morality is just that - personal. Condemning another person for failiing to live up to your personal moral code is wrong.

Gambling is immoral...in your opinion. It doesn't happen to be my opinion or the opinion of many. It is your opinion and you may hold it but my opinion is different and carries no more weight than yours unless I become a politician.

Bennett is a pompous a$$...i have been tired of him flapping his smug pie hole for years...he has started some hokey conservative foundation one after another and whined about the degradation of morals. I am not alone in this...he has done nothing for years but poke his big bulbous head on the tube, acting like he has all the answers, the whole time lining his pockets with gullible people's money (good intentioned people as they were)...flame away...i hope i never see his santimonious gord on a talk show again...ahhh...i feel better now....in addition, i'm sick of Newt...remember Newt was scared to touch Klintoon because of the sleaze in his closet...let's shine the light on these hucksters and we will be the better for it, stay on the moral high ground folks.

Trying to achieve money by chance is a very immoral activity.

My guess would be he, as many others, has lost more $$$ in the market the past few years.

It could be he enjoys the "activity" and knows he isn't going to "achieve" a lot of money.

I see nothing wrong with it if you have the money to lose and don't lose more than you can afford. If he considers it entertainment, there are people doing a lot worse.
