Clinton couldn't have done this. The plane would have crashed while he lurched around looking for a flight attendant to grope.

I just get tired of marching in cadence.....And while I am at it, this is nothing but a photo op and a PR move."
So don't march.

I just can't keep up with the breaking trends and do's and don'ts coming out of Ohio..I guess a trip to Akron would help, you know, mix it up with all those adults.....
In any event, looks like he's landing in about a twenty minutes. Clear the flight deck.
To: G.Mason
I was jealous. He was very lucky to make the trip......

My neighbor's daughter is on the Lincoln -- they got an e-mail from her this a.m. to watch the landing, as she would be in one of the first rows. The entire crew is really looking forward to Bush coming for a visit. I think this is wonderful for their morale.

W on the carrier deck reminds me of a couple of lines from a great movie (The Right Stuff) when they go out to see if Yeager survived his last test pilot run trying to get a high altitude record... Two guys are driving an emergency vehicle to see if he survived... The passengers sees something on the horizon and asks "Is that a man?" and Yeager's friend, the driver says "You're DAMN RIGHT that's a MAN!"

I envision a master card commercial. Something along the lines of ---.
Green flight suit XX$
S3-B Viking $X millions.
Aircraft Carrier $X billions.
Clintoon's envy ---- priceless!!

A carefully calculated plan which will have the world glued to their collective TV screens and help insure GWB's re-election. Can you not hear the teeth grinding going on in dem circles, about how stinking unfair it is that Bush is percolating the perqs of office to new heights / depths, to win the hearts and minds of the American people?
And, I imagine, thrashing around at night, sweating profusely, sleepless in their comfortless beds, trying vainly to formulate plans to counteract this seeming juggernaut.

The reason we remember what Reagan and W say is that they base(d) their symbolic gestures on substantive actions.
