WHY AL FRANKEN ISN’T THE LIBERAL TALK RADIO SAVIOR

WHY AL FRANKEN ISN’T THE LIBERAL TALK RADIO SAVIOR

You might remember Al Franken. He’s the far-left comedian that Democrats thought might be their talk radio savior. It seems that Mr. Frankin was at the White House Correspondent’s Dinner this past Saturday night. Others in attendance heard Franken shout to Assistant Defense Secretary Paul Wolfowitz - "Clinton's military did pretty well in Iraq, huh?" Wolfowitz was heard to reply with a suggestion that Franken commit a physical improbability.

Here, my friends, is an example of why Al Franken isn’t going to make it as the great liberal savior on talk radio. As soon as Franken goes on the air with this stupid “Clinton’s military” line someone is going to call with a challenge.

Caller: “Hey, Al. So you say that this was Clinton’s military that Bush used to clobber Saddam Hussein?”

Franken: Sure it was! Those men were recruited for the military when Clinton was in office. Those weapons systems were developed under Clinton! It’s Clinton’s military!

Caller: Fine. OK, I’ll accept that. Now, tell me why you keep calling the current economy Bush’s economy. Isn’t it true that the dot-com bust happened under Clinton? Isn’t it true that the technology bust happened under Clinton? Isn’t it true that the Enron accounting irregularities began while Clinton was president? Isn’t it true that our economic growth started to slow down while Clinton was in office? If it’s Clinton’s military, why isn’t it Clinton’s economy?

Franken: “Uh … thanks for calling! Time for a break. We’ll be right back.”

Uh oh … a blow to our liberal hero’s credibility! And that, my friends, is why liberals just can’t handle talk radio!

By the way, it isn’t Clinton’s military. George Bush is the commander in chief. Pentagon Don is the Defense Secretary. These men and women went into battle following a man who had not expressed his “loathing” of the military. Clinton’s military had no respect for their commander-in-chief. Bush’s military loves their commander-in-chief. Military culture and morale starts at the top. A fish rots from the head first.

Al Franken is the Liberal savior as a talk host. He's the best they have. That's why they are in such a snit. Wouldn't you be if Al Franken was the best you could come up with?

The people of Kuwait City are glad it wasn't Clinton's military. Clinton's military had mothballed the anti-missile system which, after the program was reinstated under Bush, proceeded to shoot down all but one Iraqi missile fired at them.

And record enlistments right after 9/11, and record applications at the FBI right after 9/11.

Watch Crossfire for about 30 seconds..it's about all one can take...but the pont is that the "left" side is either Carville or Begalla..so everything is in the context of how great and wonderful Bill and Hillary and all things Clintin were.....the Dems can't get beyond them....but the rest of the country is..

Reminds me of some quotes:

"If you don't want to use the army, I should like to borrow it for a while."

"The story of Gen. McClellan illustrates dramatically
the impact a leader can have on the human spirit."

A liberal talk show would not include callers. Their ideas are so lofty that the little people would have to be "convinced".

It would be more like a Baptist preacher on the radio, callers would be a disruption to the sermon.

Clinton's military was Wesley Clarke--from Waco to Serbia--and Clarke took orders from Hillary.

I would, but then, I am on the other side from Franken.

Remember that X42 was the best the democRATs could come up with in 1992 and the mind-numbed sheeple voted him in! TWICE!!

I wish that the libs would face the truth. Without distortion, lies, deceipt (which many in our country unfortunately take as fact), from the libs and their media apologists, they would have nothing. That's why this will never succeed. Conservative causes can be defended with logical, moral, and level-headed arguments and facts. Liberals exist on lies/deceipt/distortion (i.e.- Bush cut Medicare when in fact it was a slowing in reduction, Hutchinon voted to cut school lunch, etc). When that doesn't have much traction, they always pull out the race card.

You can't defend the indefensible. At least, it can't be sustained for long. Thanks to the talk show hosts (Rush, Sean, even Savage to some degree, Coulter, etc), our message is getting out into the mainstream.

Franken's problem is that he has the intellectual depth of my Yorkies, that is he has what he thinks of as convictions (but are really unexamined feelings), but no information, no sense of history and no principles.

That's as nice a summation of the liberal mindset as I've seen. Stir in a dose of malignant narcissim, and the recipe is complete. And maybe substitute dachshunds for the Yorkies.

Franken couldn't carry Rush's jockstrap.

Likely couldn't fill it either, for that matter. LOL!

What was his most successful character's name, Stuart Smalley? A big fat sweater clad psychologically challenged wuss, that was probably more representative of Franken than his "real" persona!

I am really concerned that everyone is going
to draw a false conclusion form the Iraq
war-that US has not military problems at all.

The military is still and in fact is stretched
thinner than ever. Further, we have all this
clean war nonsense. We better not be fighting
a clean war with the likes of China. Further,
we continue to export high technology and capital
to China which it is using to build up its
war machine. We should still defeat China
but every improvement in their military capacity
means it will cost more American lives to do so
and increases the odds they we will have to fight
them, rather than them being too scared to ever
dare challenge us.

Also, we still have that crowd of Politically
correct generals and Admirals that raised
still in most key high level positions
and I don't have faith in them.

All the Animal Control shelters in North America can't have on hand enough distemper shots for these morons.

Are the libs are so stupid that the likes of Al Franken, Michael Moore and Tim Robbins are now the faces of what is (but always was) a rabid and obviously desperate Democratic Party?

Every GOP election committee ought to take note and exploit these incidents for all they're worth.
