It's OK...some of us have other things to do besides FReep. And then there's me.
;o]
I actually just stopped by for a sec and saw you had been here. I couldn't resist saying "hi."

Now I just gotta figure out where to buy it. :-)
I've been around. Been down to 10 or so posts a day lately, though.

I dated Otzi. Trust me, it was overrated.

He told Austrian broadcasting company ORF that all of the requests had been turned down, not least because Otzi's penis had decayed away.

LOL. I bet Bill Clinton wishes he could be frozen for a thousand years. Probably every time he sees Hillary in the buff!

That is sooo wide open. :))

But can you imagine asking your momma about who your daddy is, and she saying, "Oh, I was impregnated by AI, using the sperm of a 5000 year old man, that they found frozen in the Alps." I mean, it's bad enough what kids have to deal with when they've lost their father, or he 'r-u-n-n-o-f-t', but what kind of crazy issues do you think that kid will have if his daddy was a CAVEMAN!! And in the end, who who Otzi Jr. be able to sue for all his problems stemming from his absent father?

BTW, that's famous mountaineer Reinhold Messner looking over Ötzi the Iceman, the day after he was first discovered...

Yes why not clone a retarded deformed child from a few thousand year old corpse?
Ofcourse the successrate is only a a percentage or less among mice, and even less successfull for humans.
So you would get a small graveyard of aborted embryos/fetuses and dead babys before finally getting one that barely survives.
A few dozen stillbirths and dying babys is not much of a prize to pay for the FAME and FORTUNE that would await a FREAK like those women.
They don't even have to share any of the wealth received from talkshows and movierights with the child as it would probably die early (God willing) and save it from a live of misery and sickness.
Why not indeed.

Wasn't Reinhold Messner cofounder of the Eagles? He gets around.

I think it would be interesting to try to clone him.
Luckily for humanity people like you dont get to make such decisions.
Interesting? Why? What are the benefits? Do they outweigh the cons? Do you even have a reasoning or do you just want to do weird things cause they're "cool"?

Perhaps we are all in a time warp. Or, perhaps it is a good commentary on how unobservant I am ... LOL! I did not even notice that someone had resurrected a three year old thread! ... I was not even a FReeper three years ago! I see now that Posts 1-55 date to April 2003 and the old article was PINGED to a list via Post 56; posts forward from that point, including mine, are current ...

A Blast from the Past which never got pinged. Hard to believe.
To all -- please ping me to other topics which are appropriate for the GGG list. Thanks.
Please FREEPMAIL me if you want on or off the "Gods, Graves, Glyphs" PING list or GGG weekly digest

I don't care that this article is three years old - it still deserves a ping! Besides, lots of you young whippersnappers weren't freepers back then.
Many thanks to bert for digging up the link!
