Car Bought Before Arrest
New details in the Laci Peterson murder case, including word that husband, Scott, bought a car just days before his arrest.
Neighbors tell ABC News that Peterson purchased a used Mercedes Benz from a private seller in Ocean Beach.
It was being sold through an auto newspaper.
Neighbor Brian Turner says Scott paid cash for the car, the same one he was arrested in last Friday.
Peterson pleaded innocent Monday to charges of murdering his wife Laci, and unborn son, Connor.

(Brooklyn-WTNH, Apr. 24, 2003 6:18 PM) _ Long before the Laci Peterson case, a Connecticut mother made it her mission to hold killer's of pregnant women accountable. Now, just over a year later, state lawmakers are answering her call with Jenny's Law.
Watch the story by Chief Capitol Correspondent Mark Davis As much of the nation follows the latest developments in the Scott Peterson case, Debbie Florence also follows developments, but probably more closely than most of us. That's because she knows firsthand what the family is going through.
"My heart goes out to the family because I can feel their pain."
Her 25-year-old daughter Jenny, who was nine months pregnant with a son she had already named Nathan, was murdered on New Year's Eve 2001. But unlike Scott Peterson in California the man suspected in Jenny's death could not be charged in the death of the child.
"Right after we were told about Jenny's and Nathan's murder ... I was told that they could only charge her assailant with Jenny's murder because there was no law in Connecticut that recognized the unborn child," Florence said.
Whoa, it looks like I missed out on an Amber Frey interview. The only times Amber has been infront of a camera that I know of, were the original Modesto press conference and the topless photos in the Enquirer.
If anyone saw this "new" interview, she say anything of interest?
Also, thanks for the update.
