I think this is poorly worded. Blair *listened* to the advice, but it doesn't seem as if he acted on much, if any, of it.

TLB has been one of the few Freepers that has been calling it like it truly is whether some of you like it or not. I did my share of TLB bashing and then apologized to TLB. I agree with him on Blair, Putin, and now I have to admit that he was right about not allowing Lott to be taken out as much as I didn't like Lott as Majority Leader.

He was right on Lott as it turns out because look what the RATs and media are doing to Santorum -- what Republican is going to next in their crosshairs? I have apologized to both TLB and Sinkspur and admitted I was wrong. They were also right if we are going to get an Estrada vote, we have to force a full blown filibuster.

I don't march to the same beat of the drum as some others on here and over the last two months have come to appreciate different views on a host of subjects after I was accused by shilling for MSNBC when I said I liked their military analysts and did not like Geraldo and thought he should have been tossed for what he said on the air about troop movements. Because he was on Fox he got a free pass. Well I don't work that way -- I don't pledge blind loyalty to any network! MSNBC and Fox had some good moments and bad moments. I don't like a station that reports rumors as facts which is why I started confirming Fox's news stories on MSNBC. That made me a shill for MSNBC and I never forgot it. One time I was called a shill for CNN when I watched them maybe 20 minutes all total during the heighth of the Iraqi war -- my mistake to someone was reporting what Amanpour had said which was right about Saddam.

Sure made me stop and think when I had my say about Geraldo and then people came after me or with the Blair deal or the Putin deal. I have learned to know a lot more Freepers because I opened my eyes and ears to what was being said.

I admit I was WRONG!!!! Not everyone has to agree with everything this Administration does -- I certainly didn't the week before we launched when the President was calling 3rd World Countries to beg for their votes for the 2nd resolution THANKS to Tony Blair!

Maybe this Iraqi War was good for a lot of things -- made me grow up and realize that there are diverse opinions and because someone doesn't share mine doesn't make mine right and theirs wrong.

It is not devisive to question something that a Freeper perceives as wrong. What is wrong is what I was guilty of -- attacking a person without stopping to think they had a right to their opinion and they just may be right. Doesn't mean that I won't argue my position, but you can bet I will have facts to argue before I go charging off again and I won't challenge the integrity of someone because I don't like what they are saying and just take after them without facts to back me up. I know what is like to be on the other side -- I should have remembered that lesson from the Keyes visit to the school in NH when I was in the distinct minority.

Pretty bad on here when Freepers are afraid to start a flame war or get trashed if they speak up when they have something they disagree with. I will continue to speak out when I think something is wrong and I will work as hard to get the President re-elected in 2004 as I did in the 2000 election which started in January 1999. I started off on here in the distinct minority of those supporting President Bush so anyone that questions my loyalty to the President because I disagree with his Agenda or what he says from time to time doesn't know me at all. I accused of being anti-Bush during the build-up to the war as well. Makes you stop and think!

My two cents of rambling for what it is worth -- just glad I saw the light!

Diverse opinions are great and that's what makes the world go round. But showless can't accept the fact that others have other opinions and things have to be governed by consensus rather than by dogmatic decree such as he'd like. He thinks he has the only truth and he doesn't. No where near the only truth. This world and country is made up of various opinions and as such all have to be dealt with....

Just like the link/cut/paste job he did about the 42 Senators siding with Clinton on the 'fast track' issue. He slams a few but when his bud Lott was pointed out as being among the 42 he ran like a whipped dog from that post.

No....TLB is calling like HE thinks it is, and there's a big difference there.

That is not to say that his opponents don't do the same thing on occasion, but very few people on FR are as quick to label others who disagree as 'blind' and 'socialists' and assorted other names as TLB is, and it totally negates any legitimate point he might have been trying to make.

I am fairly dispassionate about this since I haven't been involved in too many disputes with him, and for the most part find him nothing more than amusing, but as I read through this thread it was pretty obvious that he leaves no room for variance in others' opinions before he starts the name calling. He obviously still doesn't believe that there are diverse opinions which may or may not be wrong, as you and the vast majority of other freepers do.

btw, I still don't think he was right about Lott, regardless of what the Rats are doing to Santorum. The right thing to do is the right thing to do, regardless of how the enemy will behave afterward. The Rats' attack of Santorum would have occurred regardless of any previous incident.
