The Giants have people making the big bucks plotting their
draft options, They don't poll the cheerleaders.

Before you accuse me of defending Clinton, or being a Clinton fan (why do I put myself in these situations?)

When you stated that his "philandering" was what conservatives were against him for, it was kinda like the liberal argument that it was all "just about sex."

you can add the bombing in Sudan to your list of his crimes.

You need a database to keep them all straight.

As for trashing the pardon process - Bush Sr. had his way with that one before Clinton.

I think a couple of the Iran-Contra pardons were questionable, but that entire "scandal" was a conflict between two branches of government that should never have reached that point. Clinton trashed the pardon process seemingly just for the fun of it.

How many on the left actually said they hoped the Iraqi campaign would go badly?

I've seen a few, there was that article in Salon recently and he acted as if he was speaking for many among him. There was also some female Dem commentator a few months back that voiced that opinion.

I love these people who have little to no access to classified information about what is going on behind the scenes, but they'll mouth off about it anyway. We have no idea what Syria is willing to give up, so let's see how this plays out. If Powell comes back empty handed and embarrassed (again), it will only help the cause....

"...with the destruction of their Air Force and air defense systems, and the total demoralization of their conventional forces in Gulf War Won."

Unbelievable.

Don't worry Bush III will deal with Syria 12 years from now.

All your Middle East belongs to us.

I never threw a pass to an NFL receiver, but I sure as hell can tell you who the Giants should take in the NFL draft.

How about a back judge? After what happened against San Francisco in the playoffs..

First, you are a liberal troll and are dismissed.

Second, anyone with any appreciation for wordsmithing will treasure Limbaugh's language. He can articulate the Republican position better than anyone in the Administration.

I have a problem with people who do not have access to all the information Bush, Rumsfeld, Powell ect. have telling them how to handle foreign policy. I think the President is doing a FINE job and I trust his judgement. Obviously Newt and Rush do not. I still believe in the end the Administration will have the last laugh and all these handwringers (on the left AND right) will have egg all over their face.

You are so right! Clinton was detested by people for things Clinton DID! Bush is detested just because he is not a democrat, and because Gore deceived so many with his attempted coup of the election. The rats are brilliant at turning things upside down!

When I spoke of his "philandering" it was more that I think that was the least of Clinton's crimes, and some conservative pundits overstated its importance, as if every error of Clinton's reflected outward from that.

The argument Rush makes is just like the liberal argument that the case against Clinton was "all about sex." Criticism of Bush "goes beyond any partisanship I remember in my lifetime"? That's the pot calling the kettle black, I think. There are people who criticize Bush because of his decisions as President. That is why Rush objected to Clinton and that's why liberals object to Bush - they don't buy the philosophy behind his actions (or lack of, in Clinton's case). It's in Rush's interest to categorize it as "personal" or "partisan" in order to dismiss it as petty, and thereby ignore all criticism (at least from liberals), valid or not.

As for your guy in Salon - you'd think that if you only read the conservative pundits' descriptions of his article, but Kamiya said he harbored "secret wishes," never claimed to speak for other liberals, and, most importantly, confessed that he was wrong. Even Nicholas DeGenova backtracked from his initial, obscene statement.

It actually is a good metaphor for Clinton's approach towards the office - for example, recall that he was getting serviced by Monica as he discussed troop deployments in Bosnia over the phone with a Congressman. He just didn't take the job seriously, as events bore out.

The argument Rush makes is just like the liberal argument that the case against Clinton was "all about sex." Criticism of Bush "goes beyond any partisanship I remember in my lifetime"? That's the pot calling the kettle black, I think.

I will simply have to disagree with you here. I do agree that some folks on the right hated Clinton so much that it affected their judgement - the Danny Williams case being the prime example. But what I have seen on the left is hate transformed to the level that they would rather see bad things happen to this country, such as a poor economy or a disaster in war, so that good times would not benefit Bush. That is the key difference.

Some of the criticism is valid, but when libs launch into their routine of criticizing Bush no matter what he does, it becomes extremely difficult to take their comments seriously.

As for your guy in Salon - you'd think that if you only read the conservative pundits' descriptions of his article, but Kamiya said he harbored "secret wishes," never claimed to speak for other liberals, and, most importantly, confessed that he was wrong.

I think he was the only one willing to be honest about his feelings. One could tell from the non-stop parade of snap criticism during the war, and especially the petty comments about the toppling of the statutes, that it was just killing the libs to see the war be successful. Kamiya simply spoke openly instead of using liberal code words.

Even Nicholas DeGenova backtracked from his initial, obscene statement.

Yeah, it was either that or his job. I doubt the guy has changed his core opinions one bit...
