I heard that a little while ago too, that we lost some in another helicopter crash.

Beloved Father,

You have seen fit to call some more of our troopers Home from that air crash which we have learned about. We feel such sadness at these young lives being cut short. We feel such infinite gratitude at their willingness to serve. Please, Father, tell each of these young people that we thank them. Help us to live our lives in such a way that will reflect honor upon them. Help us to be ever mindful of their sacrifice. Help us to find joy and live the free lives in true peace which they desired for us. Let us as a nation NEVER lapse into a state in which their sacrifice would be in vain. Comfort and strengthen the families of these who have lost their beloved young warrior.

Father, we call for your intercession in the matter of our helicopters, airplanes, jets, jeeps, humvees, tanks, and all transportational conveyances. We call for them to be protected from mechanical, electrical, and/or system failures, damage from sand, and any attacks from the enemy. We ask that you will guide the mechanics and all who are responsible for maintenance as to the condition of each and every mode of transportation. We also continue to ask that you will place a layer of special light and protection woven from our love and prayers around each and every helmet, vest, armour, rifle, and piece of equipment upon which our troops rely.

We do call forth your loving angels to surround each and every one of our precious young people serving in Iraq, Afghanistan, and any other place where our troops are dispersed. Grant them courage and strip them of any and all inordinate fear. Protect the hearts and psyches of our troops as they face difficult decisions and circumstances. Help them in their efforts to be compassionate in their dealings with the innocents and fierce in their contacts with those who are the enemy. Grant them all immediate discrimination as to which is which. Grant them clarity of mind and heart under stress and pressure.

Father, we thank you for this prayer circle. We thank you for the tremendous opportunity to gather together to offer our hearts to you. We thank you for our magnificent military and our true and noble allies. Father, take our prayers and multiply them as much as your Great Law will allow according to thy will and mercy.

Amen
